Real Identity of cut cables in 1995 2.6 Cabrio Loom

Hello - with your help I'm hoping to find out a bit more about the cut cables (under the dashboard) in my Audi. In the mid 90's , for the UK, Audi decided the chip in the key was not enough for anti-theft and you could have an extra alarm fitted , and with an extra battery operated switch on a key Fob to dis-arm this before alarm before unlocking and entering the car. Needless to say the battery operated key fobs wore out in the end and became a nuisance. Hence an earlier owner of my car did their makeshift attempt at correcting all by cutting out wires and removing the receiver in the car for the key-Fobs' signal cancel alarm signal . Turning to the attached pictures, remnants of the alarm system include : 1. Sticker for windows highlighting alarm fitted, 3. the Alarm Sounder Unit and 2. what's left of part of the loom under the Dashboard (about 8 inches to the left of the steering column). You can see some cut cable ends. You will see the cut wires are grey, grey/black, white, orange (and uncut wires in the same cluster include yellow, white/red, white/black yellow/black and blue). The car has run okay like this for years , but my question is ....do these cut grey, grey/black, white, and orange wires still need to be linked to something for the car to be right - maybe one to chassis earth ? ? . Any info from anyone would be much appreciated

Back then the alarm was a dealer option and not an Audi item. I removed mine back to the oe loom. I suggest you follow the wires back to the original loom and remove one at a time.

Dave thanks for the advice, which makes sense. I'm just wondering if the bit of cut loom I'm looking at is not all to do with an alarm system and someone has got carried away and made a mistake when taking the alarm out. You may note some uncut wires appear to be in the same sheathed cluster...

Okay , thanks to Dave's earlier advice, i've removed the add-in cables for the defunct extra car alarm. The original fit was poor with added cables spliced in and soldered. All joins have been cut out, neatly soldered and clad in heat-shrink rubber tube. I'm now starting reassembly and would value any advice on some UNIDENTIFIED connections (HELP!) . Despite loads of photos I took during the earlier strip-out, there's some wires which are unknowns -see the two attaced pictures if you like.

FIRST: directly under the dashboard and near the underside of the engine bay fusebox I have 3 connections but nothing to connect any to: A larger red connector, a square white connector with single metal pin inside, and red square connector to accept a single-wire spade connection. I cannot find where any of these 3 should connect to and wonder if they are for extras the car does not have (also - I see a written label of Audi instructions which tells the garage to commission the new car by removing the red Air Bag lead (for transit) - and so was one of these for that purpose maybe?)

SECOND - The loom near the column includes a white multi-pin connector to the Immobiliser, but near by too a small black connector - maybe 2 pin. I cannot find where this black connector connects to

        Any advice appreciated
