this is our cabby, last September we delivered the coupe GT to the new owners in Stroud & collected her replacement in Salisbury

It's was actually a Birthday present to Debbie my long suffering wife










Drove back 225 miles , very smooth , considering the reports I'd heard about the NG engine it went very well ,












Considering this is a replacement for the coupe , which was/is a very enjoyable
car, this isn't a bad alternative ..

No i bought the 80 CD 100yds from my home with it's 1.9 5CYL soundtrack back in 1994 to replace at the time a Auto 2.3 V6 Cortina mk5 which was nice but juicy.I owned the 80CD until 1998 so 4 years and loved every minute of it.I rebuilt all the suspension on it and loved it for it's excellent handling being quick and superb on juice!

We bought the Cabriolet in may 2012. Here she is with hardtop fitted

There is actually as i couldn't plug it in. You need 3 people to do it properly 1 each side of the hardtop and a 3rd pair of hands to plug it in.

Lovely 90 quattro you have there. I do have a soft spot for them!

There is actually as i couldn't plug it in. You need 3 people to do it properly 1 each side of the hardtop and a 3rd pair of hands to plug it in.

Actually there is a knack to it, I have learnt that if you put the hardtop on but don't secure it using the fitting kit, then lift it and shove a tennis ball under each side you can do it yourself, its blooming tight though, but the demister is excellent!

man, I put the hardtop on about 2 months ago and haven't looked back, its been a lifesaver, especially now the cabby is going to be my daily!
