Am trying to change the oil pressure sender on a final edition 2.6 Cab, I can't get a spanner on it as the a/c compressor is in the way but it looKs like I will have to take the oil filter off to get the compressor off. Surely can't be this hard to change the sender.

Sorry, can't help with the V6 sender. That said, you might want to be aware that there is a chance that the sender was installed with a factory adapter plate and you need a special tool to remove the sender:

The notches in that auxilliary "plate" are indeed used to install and remove the oil pressure sender in its very tight location. Here is the Matra 3200 tool sold by Samstag Tools to do that job: "Box spanner for oil pressure sending unit. 1/2" drive, 3 tabs 10mm wide." The tabs fit into the notches on that plate.

Hi, thanks for that information, good to know when I need to do it on my S2, the v6 does not have that plate on the sender, I have done a few on cars without ac and it is really easy but on ac cars the compressor is completely in the way and the oil filter is in the way of the bottom left compressor bolt. It would be fine if I had not already done an oil and filter change a couple of weeks ago.
Anyway, will bite the bullet and just remove filter and compressor.
