Sorry, completely the wrong type of car, but I thought some of you might like to see the transformation from swirly monster to black pearl.... (I actually quite like the shape of the car now that I have detailied it... )
Copied from DetailingWorld:
It's been over a year since I last completed a full detail. This one was booked in for a full deswirl and exterior detail. No interior work today (thankfully)
I won't go into lots of detailed descriptions, you all know the standard methods by now!
To cut a long story short, the weather was almost perfect with no rain and plenty of sun early on with clouds later. The only downside was I did not get a chance to catch the lovely gold, red and green flake in the paint at the end.
The rough order of product where and when were:
Turtlewax heavy duty shampoo on wheels and arches
Megs super degreaser and various brushed on wheels
Autosmart tardis on wheels
Megs aggresive clay on wheels! (Two hours now gone!!!)
Wheels finally completed as best I could (years of brake dust and debris) I moved on to the body....
Megs Shampoo with washmitt.
Sonus Green clay
Windows sealed with Rain X
Paintwork polished with Menz Intensive 3.02rd on a Sonus cutting pad
Paintwork completed with Sonus paint cleanser and Megs #7 Show car glaze together on a sonus enhancing pad.
Paintwork sealed with Collinite 476s and removed with micro fibre and Megs Last Touch
Wheels sealed with Poorboys wheel sealant
Exhaust polished with Megs Metal Polish
Arches dressed with AG tyre dressing
Tyres dressed with Megs Endurance
It doesnt' sound like much, but that was 8.5 hours work with two ten minute breaks. :buffer:
I will let the pictures do the talking, questions and comments welcome.
Cheers,
Steve
