  • Collinite Waxes

I've been using Autoglym HD wax on my cars but have just run out and am looking for a replacement. I've read good things on here about the collinite wax but what is the difference between the 476 and the 915 (other than the price)?

I am looking for something to give protection as the sun (not that we have too much of that) has a favourite hobby of turning my red paint into pink.

    Any advice welcome.

I believe the 915 is more "show orientated", where as the 476 is more durable and longer lasting. I use the 476 stuff on mine and a coat is good for ~3 months. Wont do anything for pink paintwork, nothing can stop that IMO.

If I was you I try Fireglaze or Menzerna Powerlock, it´s not a wax more of a 1k sealer and it brings real shine to the car and last for 12 month, and then a good waxschampoo to wash the car with My car has that wet look all the time, just put some quick detailer on every 4 wash. It dosent have so good effect to pearl the water but the shine is as good as Autoglyms wax but last longer...or if you like a really good sealer with at least 2 year protection and awesome water repeling effect PPS Sealer is the way to go, it´s a 2k sealer and it´s probably the best out there but´s its kinda exspensive ~70£ for a tooth paste tube

I find 915 works very nice on darker coloured cars. Very similar level of durability as 476 but maybe a little easier to use and it does smell nicer. 845 for ease but the durability is a little less.

Saying that, 915/476 are both very good budget waxes. ;-) It is hard to choose.

Saw a test ages ago with 915 and it produced a shine better than waxes many times it's price (I have a tub of 915, highly recommended).
