I drove all the way from Cornwall to Dover to view this back In January when it was on ebay. The seller was a real oddball, bloke in his late forties that lived at home with his mum and had got into financial difficulty with some offshore investments and this S2 apparently fell into his lap and was looking to make quick profit on it and offered it to me for £10000. Anyway as he pulled it out of the garage I could see instantly that it had been recently painted down both sides, it even stank of paint inside. There was overspary everywhere, window rubbers, badges. I didn't even bother driving it because I was so disappointed with body work, it looked ripplely as hell, I would have paid £6000 max for it.

I don't necessarily agree, but I didn't think average S2s would be changing hands for £12-15k just 3 years after selling mine for just £3k
