With much sadness I am being forced to sell my beloved S2 coupe, worth more to me than anything, owned 11 years, dark metallic green, thousands spent [just by me] but I think it may need a few more pounds injected! I need to sell to a rich car-nut who will keep up the never ending restoration, not a boy-racer-modifier-type.

Early type 3B five speed
Manual A/C, preset sunroof, electric rear vent windows, leather interior
Good points:
A/C working (spent years/£££ getting it right, refilled personally)
Interior very good
Starts first time every time
Terrific engine, loads of power & extremely smooth, sounds great
No modifications, no silly boost gauges, no silly wheels, no annoying alarm, no need to improve on perfect design!
It's an S2
Bad points:
Just failed MOT for rear subframe, roll bar balljoint, seat belt mount.
Odometer deceased [200 miles ago]
Lacquer peeling off of bonnet
Rear bumper wants repainting to be perfect
Some coolant leakage, about half a cup a week, don't believe it's the head but several connectors underneath & around intake manifold
Brake discs need replacing
Tyres need replacing
One wheel needs relacquering
Service due inc. timing belt
Small rain leak into drivers footwell, thought I'd cured this multiple times, but obviously never quite solved it
I guess this would all cost £1-2,000 if you were paying for it, of course lots can be done yourself.......... There are some other S2s for sale in the £8 to £16,000 bracket at the moment.
Included spares inc rear subframe, rear control arms [wish bones], rear tie rods, front & rear balljoints, front & rear rollbar droplinks, loads of bushes, a ton of paperwork & receipts going back years, more than £16,000 spent over the years, plus I'll always give an "any-questions" email advice service, having seen most parts of this car at one time or another.
It drives beautifully and was in use right up to MOT, it was a life saver in the snow last winter. Please bear in mind it is a few years old...
Cash on collection only, collection from a workshop just south of Salisbury, Wiltshire SP1, you ought to take it on a trailer really, but it does move under it's own steam so to speak.
