    Bad bits
    * Lacquer peel all over (great if you want the sleeper look, but realistically needs a complete spray)
    * Front driver wing starting to rust
    * Will need re mapping to run its true potential previously dyno proven 416bhp (currently running on a standard ECU and injectors so only standard boost of 0.8-0.9bar is allowed, but it's perfectly driveable. The stage 2 socketed MRC ECU has been removed due to failing UK MOT emissions at idle.......this is included in the sale in readyiness for the cars remap)
    * Wheels need refurbing

    Good bits
    * 12mths MOT
    * Large folder full of receipts for general servicing over the years and a comprehensive additional folder listing parts purchased and work carried out by Pete and Mihnea
    * Engine has been rebuilt by white cottage quattros in the last 8k miles with numerous uprated parts to cope with 400+bhp
    * 138k miles
    * 5 previous owners (current owner since 2007)
    * Chassis is solid, no rust on the sills
    * Uprated Scat H beam rods
    * Rs2 exhaust manifold
    * Rs2 head gasket
    * Gt3071R
    * FMIC and 034 pipe kit
    * Lightened flywheel (034)
    * Uprated clutch (sachs)
    * TT coil pack conversion
    * EBC Yellowstuff pads
    * A8/S8 front brake conversion
    * Ronal Boleros with newish Kumho rubber all round
    * Eibach springs + Bilstein shocks
    * 3" hayward + scott exhaust
    * SKF water pump and timing belt kit (supplied to new owner)

    Asking price is £3350, this is the absolute least I would consider

    I have been honest with my description as to not waste yours or my time. Viewings are welcome and encouraged but I please ask that only extremely serious purchasers make contact

    Ultimately the car is still a project but now working and with an MOT which provides an excellent base

    If I had a nice double garage and could work on her at my leisure I would happily keep going but alas I'm getting too old for axle stands and rained on

        Sounds like the engine is £5,000 on it's own at least

          And rest of it is worth nothing because it's in the wrong shell.

            £5k for the engine is a bit much considering it's not known who built it or how long ago, 8k miles could be 10 years old. When was it built?

            But £5k for the car complete is probably top end with the paint in the state it is I'd guess.

              One day these will pick up in value like the S2, personally I think the C4 S6 is a better chassis than the S2!

                I very much hope so. I just think you get so much more for the money but then again I'm biased.

                  I agree - I've got both and prefer the C4 to the B4.

                  Just because the majority don't agree doesn't make them right btw.

                    Ha ha, you C4 guys can be so defensive, you’re getting like the VEMS crowd.

                    Bottom line,they both have a crap chassis

                      Chassis is crap in terms of sporty behavior, but C4 quattro shell is something what I would take for zombie-apocalypse if I had limited choice among non-offroad cars.

                      C4 is better every minute but I have coupe (un)fortunately.

                          Don't know man, mine handles like a dream and sticks to the road like glue, but then again I haven't driven an S2.

                              I lol'd when I read this post - you're right, very well observed.

                              What I should have said was that - agreed neither a C4 or a B4 handles as well as a new car, but I prefer all of the better attributes of a C4 car over a B4 car, and not just the 'chassis'.

                              Anyway I need to stop hijacking this op's thread.
