How did it get a UK mot with that Speedo?

The clocks are not an element of the MOT. They are not tested. In fact I suspect that if you turned up with 'No' clocks that you could still get MOT. Similar to the fact that you dont have to have headlights (so long as no switch gear) or number plates to get MOT. Mad but true! I worked at a test centre and was shocked when a Lotus Elise turned up on a trailer with no plates/headlights (track car), only to be told that was OK.

I use to get my lhd rs2 tested with KM/h with no problems/
