A4 Avant Quattro Sport with 2.5 TDI V6 engine. 180 bhp. Manual.

3 owners - I have every receipt for money spent since then along with service book and pack. Two keys. Tons spent. Its well-loved car maintained by Peter Norris, a specialist Audi/VW garage in Clapham, London with previous owner.

Recent MOT with work to keep up together. Can share. 187k miles.

The car is 21 years old so there are some scratches on the body work and rims and a couple of very very small dents. It’s clean and runs smoothly. Matching all weather tyres,

Considering for sale at £2,250. I might get a BMW 335d Touring that’s popped up.

Had lots of work this year - cambelt and ancillaries, front suspension for MOT, serviced twice - once recently, 3 idlers replaced on aux belt, replaced both front wings, repainted rear quarter and bumper to keep it tidy. Plus replaced alternator. 228k miles.

Think I need a small run around.

Hi - Still have the car!

It has a boost leak on the right side of the v bank as can see the smoke emitting there from the smoke test. It's a pipe / connector / RHS Intercooler / Inlet gasket I think...

Please, does anyone really know these engines and can work on them?

Few garages really seem to know much!

Dailynx are probably the most experienced Quattro techs in the UK. I am west of Carmarthen.

No, I don't run a garage. I'm just an enthusiastic classic Audi fan. My knowledge is mainly around Ur Quattro and S2's. If you have lost boost, it's probably a the leak in your aging pipework as you have identified with the smoke test. Get someone to fix that and hopefully you will be sorted.

I'd avoid Dialynx if you are trying to avoid large bills. They know their stuff but aren't cheap.

I recently broke one of these cars and they're not complicated, though access from the top of the engine bay is poor, removing the the front bumper lets one get at the pipework no problem.

Most likely causes are, loose/split hose or a leaky intercooler end tank.

Made in back From Spa in Belgium, but I ought to get the boost issue fixed. It's taking the fun away. Please, is there an Audi/VW incl diesel tuning place that is not too upmarket near the South...? I think that would be best. Darkside would be great but are miles away and have to wait for months to get in. Cheers
