It is with a heavy heart (and a lot of procrastination) that I am putting my S2 up for sale. I always knew I would need to sell it to help fund a house deposit but it doesn't make it any easier.
The car is a 1993 Avant and was one of three cars owned by the VW group as press vehicles. There is an article on this one in Audi Car and Driver magazine and sections were repreinted in a later edition.
The car itself has MOT until April 2024 and has an extensive folder of history including full service history and MOT certificates back to 1997. The cam belt was replaced when it was last serviced in 2020 with no expense spared - genuine VAG belt, INA bearings, SKF waterpump, cromo crank pulley, new bolt from Audi Tradition etc. Since then I have done an oil service but it would be sensible for the new owner to get another full service done if only for the stamp in the book. It has had a huge amount of restoration work and new parts since I have owned it so it's relly a great car to look at and drive now but as always with classics, there is still work that could be done to make it better. I really would recommend getting in touch or coming to view.
One of the main expenses was a full respray and the car looks great but it does have blemishes when you get up close - again, viewing here is essential
Mechanically the car is working well with the engine pulling strong and no boost leaks - silicone hoses where I could with replacement rubber in some cases and full smoke testing carried out etc.
