Selling my 1994 LHD ABY S2 Avant, the car is on Spanish plates has done 260,000km and is located near Estepona
on the Costa del Sol Spain.The car has been used as a daily driver up until 2 months ago when I spotted a CV boot had split, I can't afford
to fix this along with the other "little" problems that need sorting (see below) so its got to go . . . . .
Good bits
All the work done with new Audi parts - have receipts
New clutch
New hydraulic system - p/s pump, bomb and brake servo
New radiator
New front shocks, top mounts and track rods
New alternator diode pack
Engine rebuild after cambelt pulley wheel broke . . . . . All new valves, cylinder head skimmed, all belts replaced,
Crankshaft / camshaft and rocker cover seals replaced, new spark plugs, etc
Newish front pads
All correct paperwork - Spanish MOT passed December 2009, Road tax due now.
Not so good bits
One CV joint split
ABS engages on steep hills when braking at low speeds, no fault codes - possibly faulty ABS sensor ring??
Small hydraulic leak from Y cable between bomb and servo
Interior (black leather) tatty, some door cards peeling and headlining coming down at rear after leak through aerial hole.
Central locking pump failed due to above leak. boot only opens from inside
Headlight stalk failed, currently run off seperate switch using spare relay
"Clunky" gearchange - possibly needs new rear subframe?? I have a second hand one to go with the car.
Noisy front suspension on bumpy roads - probably new ARB bushes ??
Clutch pedal sticky return - possibly needs new push rod on master cylinder??
Most of the expensive parts have been replaced! so would be a good project car, or at worst a cheap donor vehicle
