  • Audi A6 2.5 TDi Avant/Estate 1996 115 Bhp Red Manual

Car Is Now Sold - mod's please remove.

    This is an Audi 2.5 TDi Avant/Estate 1996 115 Bhp in Red. 194,334 miles, 1996 (N Reg).

I bought this car two years ago for once a week commutes from Stirling to Aberdeen, which is approximately a 200 mile round trip and due to the excellent reliability I decided to keep it.

The car does around 50 MPG when running around town and up to 60 MPG on a motorway run. 750 miles to a tank.
It has 5 speed manual gearbox electric windows, electric mirrors, electric sunroof, remote central locking, airbags (passenger and driver), black leather sports seats and load cover. PAS, ABS, front fog lights, rear headrests, front head restraints, 3x3 point rear seat belts, body coloured bumpers, rear wiper, service indicator, height adjustable drivers seat and steering wheel, folding rear seats, original removable Audi towbar and 2 keys.
I am also including in the sale CD/MP3/iPOD/USB Kenwood stereo and Alpine amp and Alpine subwoofer. In addition to the currently fitted leather seats I am including the original cloth seats.

It also has a comprehensive service history, last ten MOT certificates available. Leather owners document wallet. M.O.T. June 2011, taxed until November 2010.

The body work is in keeping with age and mileage. The car does have some lacker rash which is common in Audis of this age (particularly red colour), as I have tried to show in the pictures. The car is waxed and polish weekly (paintwork underneath poor lacker areas is in excellent condition). One small section of rust on driver’s pillar, again this can be seen in the pictures.

I have carried out oil changes every 8,000 miles. Cambelt, water pump and tensioner was replaced just over 20,000 miles ago so will be good for another 60,000 miles.

The car is mechanically sound and has significant money spent on it in my last two years of ownership, summarised below.

This has been an exceptionally reliable car which I have cared for and spent a lot time and money on. The only reason for the sale is due to the purchase of a newer A6 TDi Quatro.
