what a awesome avant....it is such a shame i have invested plenty of blood, sweat, tears, cash, swear words etc into my avant else i would have snapped this up like a shot....

If I was throwing in my tuppence,
I'd suggest parking it up away out of sight for two months, don't go to look at it / drive it, basically forget about it, drive the bike, and then revisit the car after the break and see how you feel about it when you drive it and reacquaint yourself with it again, the choice may possibly be clearer then and easier to get right.
If keeping it is the wrong choice, it's easy to fix, sell it. If selling it is the decision and it turns out to be a bad choice, it is very difficult to retrieve car to reverse the bad choice ?
I'm sure this won't help a bit.
I'd keep it btw.

well i think i have been offered 6000 for it unless its a scram anyone else ever sold a car to some body abroad. should i tell them the vin. Ok so they coem on here but i know there is still some bad people on here...Comment

I got emails from Spain and Germany for mine, one offering full payment before collection, the other offering a big deposit.
Personally, I dont see the difference in someone driving from London or Paris if they pay first or turn up with cashComment

My mate sold his Nissan 200SX to a french bloke, he asked a load of question and got a flight to Leeds Bradford airport and he picked him up, he had a load of euros with him so took them to the post office and had them checked and he drove off with the car already booked on the ferry a few days before he had even seen it. For some reason the cars in France are expencive.

with all those shiney bits and mods - youll prob make £4K more by returning to stock and selling the premium parts!! Like other folk have said Id hold onto it, now is possibly the worst time to sell - these cars are only going to go up in value, check the prices abroad..... The UK is a bit in the shi*te at the mo and folk are holding onto cash and not buying stuff but things will change. If its going abroad make sure you get full wack!! Grow up... ??? It's an Avant and thus is grow-up proof. Therefore, it accommodates kids, solid pine nursery wardrobes and will even handle a 180x92 solid oak dining table complete with 6 chairs (close fit though).
I won't say I'll never sell my Avant but if I do it'll be for one a little more family friendly - which means quieter, a little more comfortable and of course faster for those emergency hospital visits
I think the advice to park it and reconsider, especially after all you've put into it, is good; that said good luck with the sale and I hope it goes to someone local to the forum so it doesn't dissapear.AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994

I have had a lot of requests about the inside of this car so i thought i would put a few pictures of the inside.... A first on here. On account of keeping it under wraps so to speak...lol.
O the stereo dispite its looks is just designed to sound nice which it does very well.
Am going to add a few more pictures just the ones i have taken look pretty pants...lolComment
