Its now on my drive after an 'eventfull' trip back from Bristol (a wheel sort of fell off the trailer on the M42! )

Car actually looks better than i thought! Does need some work for MOT as i understood

          1. Smokes under throttle - Stem seals? turbo? Breathers?

          2. A front wishbone bush

          3. Rear top wishbone

After this is done i will give the interior a shampoo and look at bodywork in the new year!

Thank you mate, i'm over the moon with it to be honest i bought it just so it could be saved but, i really took to it when i saw it.

It has its faults but hey, its 18 years old!, i wasn't perfect at 18 either!! As soon as i can squeeze an MOT on it i'll make it a rolling project, even if the worse happens with the smoking i have a good spare AAN lump ready!

Yeh breathers are the best outcome, as they can be cleaned out and new valves fitted for next to nothing. But to be honest mate, if it is the turbo and you can do it yourself it really isn't the end of the world I had mine rebuilt and fitted it for under £200 inc all gaskets. If it's stem seals, although tedious, a cheap job too! Just gets a bit more expencive if you do belts, water pump etc!
