A4 1.8T quattro sport Avant for sale

Ads for both cars now on PH and Autotrader
    A4 - http://pistonheads.com/sales/2489148.htm
    Golf - http://pistonheads.com/sales/2502044.htm

I have a Kingfisher Blue 1.8T quattro sport (180hp), registered Dec 99, facelift model.

114k miles, owned by me since 2008 and in that time I've done 50k trouble-free miles. Really has been a marvellous car and wouldn't be selling but we're off to NZ for an unknown duration so selling our cars (have bought an S4 to take with me )

Full main dealer history (bar one)
    Cambelt done at 80k
Half leather interior in very good shape, aluminium trim
    Climate control
    4x e/w, e/m (heated)
DIS display has lasted far better than most, only the odd dead pixel
Double DIN Audi symphony stereo rad/cass/cd (CD player not working). Cabling and bracket for multichanger but currently has a MD changer mounted in there of all things.

I have the original wallet of manuals, 1 remote key, 1 service key (I guess, it's not remote anyway), and a folder full of receipts and old MOTs.

Tyres are about 10k miles old, 4x Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric fitted last winter.
Spare has never been on the road.

    Looking for about £3k.

    GOLF
Metallic Blue paintwork in very good condition (Indigo Blau Pearl)

Matching blue and black cloth sports interior

    6 disc in-dash CD multichanger
    4x electric windows
    Electric mirrors
    Air con
    Stamped service history
    Cambelt changed at 76k
New shock absorbers all round last year.
Airbag light is on (not an MOT isssue)
    Tax to end April
    Mot end September
Service to be carried out this week
    Selling due to move overseas.
    £2500ono

Just out of curiosity -- does it have an analogue or digital dash clock? Digital should also be canbus (?) and DBW throttle.
Ours is also facelift, a bit earlier than yours and has a cable and analogue clock.
My A3 was that colour ( Dec 1999 reg ) and it looks great on the A3 and A4 range imo!
      Thanks

To find out about dbw on my passat you sit with the car in neutral, rev it up to around 3-4k and at the same time press the brake pedal and it should drop the rev's down to nearly idle without any change in the accelerator pedal.
