      Cheers Al, much appreciated.

The car is now safely tucked away and hopefully will sell for a lot more money when readvertised next year.

Just clearing out my inbox and found a mail from the previous owner Mike , looks like he had it for sale in the spring but still had to lower his price to sell the car.

It's already between £3K and £4K cheaper than the two on Pistonheads so I'm confident that it will sell and therefore there is no need for a further price adjustment.

Fair enough, seems you put the car up for sale less than 3 months after buying, mind me asking what the "genuine reason for sale" is ?.

Stop torturing yourself Paul and come and have a look at the car........you know you want it. NB There are two members on here trying to sell their cars so that they can buy this.

It's a genuine RS2 with nothing wrong with it at a giveaway price. 'Any' and I mean any inspection is welcome on this car.

The genuine reason for sale is that I prefer UR Quattros and that's what it's been replaced with. A fantatsic piece of engineering, but it just doesn't do it in the looks department for me.

Ask yourself the same question RS2 or UR Quattro?

Considered a UR over 20 years ago but went for a 3 door Cos instead because a guy I knew had a Quattro and it was a moneypit, as for looking at the RS2 I dont even know how much it is now and Doncaster is off my radar .

Thread drift I know, but I test drove a 3 door Cossie once and it was just too much like my Dad's 1.6GL what with the gearbox whine and plastic dash.

As for UR's it's like any car, you buy well and you'll be OK.

So you're done then now and no more questions about the RS2?

I don't understand the point you are trying to make - If you've no interest in buying the car why pass comment at all? Your interest lies with another make & model of car.
I don't post a lot on car forums as can clearly be seen, as sometimes I think less is more.

                              not you then !!!

i bought my rs2 for 15k. had it for 18 months. sold for 15k. at the time, i didn't want to look at cheaper ones as i thought they would be dogs.

this car is / was cheap as the owner just needed to off load quickly. simple.

if people are really interested in a car, they will go and look for themselves instead of kicking over it for months. had the same messers coming round when i sold mine. just told people to bring the cash if they wanted to drive it.

that left the majority of tyre kickers at home !

i also think low prices put people off too. people who know about RS2's know they have always commanded strong money and when you see one cheap. people thing problems or something wrong with it.

you'd probably been better putting it up at a higher price in the first place.
