My "spare" S2 avant for sale.
Reason for sale is that I've just bought a Mk5 Golf GTI.(DSG, cruise, elec. seats, xenons, parking sensors etc. I like
) According to my wife that means I don't need 2 S2 avants and a ur quattro as well. So the blue S2 is looking for a new home.
Totally standard apart from Koni adjustable shocks.

I bought the car in March from a friend who had the car for 8 years. In that time he spent £10k on maintainance/servicing etc. (he is an accountant who doesn't own a spanner so he had all work carried out by a local German car specialist. All receipts present)

Full service history.

(more service history pics available if you want)
Mot'd until 20th August next year. (No advisory notes)
I have used the car everyday since I got it in March. It has never let me down, or failed to start. It took myself and my family round the Highlands in the summer, Two adults, 1 kid, luggage and 3 bikes, no problem.
When I got the car the front bumper was damaged beyond repair, lost out to a snow bank last winter. I have fitted a spare, it is green while the car is blue... it has never bothered me as the car was a daily hack for work. If you were going to the bother of repainting it I would do the rear one as well as it got a lot of marks/damage most probably from loading things in and out of the boot over the years.
Overall the car is quite scruffy, the paint work all over could do with a lot of TLC, all the panels are straight but showing it's age re swirls/scratches etc. Rust in the usual places (wheel arches, just starting on the tailgate, but only just), I think a machine polish would make the world of difference. Bottom door trims scruffy too.
No rips or tears on the inside (quattro script blue interior) but wear on the drivers seat bolster. Carbon trim.
When I got the the car it had a intermittent cough/stutter. Never really tried to get to the bottom of it, (car drives fine it's just a bit of an annoyance) but it improved loads after I sealed up the 2 sleeves on the exhaust y section for the mot and tightened up all the boost hoses etc. The problem is still there but is very occasional, my guess would be a boost leak somewhere, most of the hoses look original and no doubt the inter-cooler is still on it's original o-ring. I've dumped the car in the yard at my work as of tonight with the intention of giving it a good clean inside and out at the weekend, I'll will try to do a boost leak test at the same time.
I'm sure the car could have many years service left in it but please be aware if your interested in buying it and want it to be your pride and joy you got a bit of work ahead of you.
Overall the car owes me £1400. ( I got the car quite cheaply - £1200, Bumper - £200)
(Mot - £60, Tax - £120 (ish)? I see as consumables)
Hopefully by offering the car for sale at £1250 it won't hang around for too long.
Too cheap? You can always offer more
but if it sells quickly I'll be happy ( and I'll be back in the wife's good books...)
I've tried to be honest about all the bad bits but please remember there are plenty of good points too.
Long mot, taxed untill next year. FSH.
I guess at the price I'm selling the car is worth a good bit more in bits. (engine, gearbox, carbon trim, Koni shocks must be worth the asking price alone?)
Car is in Aberdeen. Happy to pick anyone up from airport/railway station.
I'll take some pics at the weekend and post them up. Any questions, ask away.
