What is an top end engine issue? Or what is the problem with this car exactly?

not totally sure but its probably got close too 200k miles on it (which is fine if cared for) BUT , like the guys say he was on here trying to break the car for spares - Then the "spares" got stolen .... Then the car was suddenly for sale again.

When the car was up for breaking someone asked him "whats wrong with the car" he replied "engine noise,brakes need attention and suspension shot

I then withdrew my offer after light of this information and he came on the forum saying it was his sons car and now he had ownership and all the issues had been resolved

the car maybe fine I hope it is for you if you have bought it, If I was you i would just go see it and judge for yourself BUT if at all unsure just walk away

there are 2 lovely avants on here for sale right now (no there not mine ) both owners having cared for the cars and a history thats traceable

Can someone point me to where anyone has said parts of the car have been stolen? I know for a fact none have.

The top end noise was only a tapping which was cured with fresh oil.

It's always nice to have people thinking they know about a car they have probably never seen let alone driven

I appreciate it's not exactly clear in that post however it was not parts from this car that went missing as it has been complete the whole time.

My post was not directed at you. I agree the car shoud be seen. I described the car as accurately as possible

Thank you for answering here!

My main questions are depending on:

"Few problems. Mainly most of the bushes seem to have gone at the same time, got a noise from the engine and the brakes need attention. Unfortunately I don't have the time or money to get it fixed."
"The bushes, engine noise and brakes have since been sorted."

1. Which bushes were renewed?

2. How were taken attention on the breakes?

3. Please send me the offered vid

it it had alot of laqure peel mostly on the roof, some panels where re-sprayed.
I calculated the milage at 196k ish. As it had new clocks.
