Crazy! Trying to get such a quick sale on a specialist car must be rather difficult right now... Gotta wonder what's wrong with it, thought it would get snapped up. Even if it just sits in storage for a while.AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994

Interesting that he's selling due to being 'let down by a specialist selling my other car'. Some Q&A's on the eBay advert too:

However its Green, with small brakes and 170k, so it's never going to be the most popular.Matt

Would the black one get me to LeMans and back 'sans drama' ? ;-)
Does seem almost too cheap for RHD in supposedly good condish, but I am out of the loop for a while now. Is the car basically sound - other than tyres and fecking handbrake wars ?Paul Nugent

I wondered that - it seems odd some cars just don't seem to shift. I think there's a small market principle here - you either sell cheap to someone who'd take one at a bargain price, or you hold on for the right buyer. I came close to buying one at 9k before I bought my RS2... the guy couldn't get his head round why it wasn't selling. Eventually someone who came along, it ticked all their boxes and I had an email telling me it had gone for asking price.
The guy needs to be prepared to wait a few months, you don't sell a specialist car so quickly.
Personally - I almost bidded at £7600 as a short-term and sell it on after getting a few jobs done on 'my RS2 - went as far as getting a quote, called Lancaster and this bad boy with 3yrs NCB @ 28yrs old would cost all of £240pa for a 6k limited policy! I never thought RS2 and cheap motoring would go in the same sentence... just not got time or money to take a punt on it. If it's in as good nick as it looks / sounds I'm shocked this hasn't been snapped up.AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994
