Hi everyone,
Here for sale is my long cherished Coupe Quattro 2.8 V6.
Price - £1800 ono
I have owned the car for 5 years and in that time I have spent much time, effort and money getting it to how it looks today. However, my life-long love affair with forced induction has finally culminated in me getting my first turbocharged car - I am picking up a B5 S4 this Friday.
So the Coupe is for sale and I would love it to go to the home of a like minded enthusiast. So, here’s the details:
Year – 1995, N reg
Mileage – 174,500
MOT – 12 Months
Tax – 3 Months
Here is a summary of the car’s specification as it stands today:
> Aqua green metallic LY6M
> Half leather cream interior
> 8.5" x 17" ET15 Borbet A's
> Toyo Proxe T1Rs (very good tread all round)
> KW Variant 1 ‘Inoxline’ coilover suspension
> Custom stainless exhaust
> Smoked headlights, fogs and indicators
> Becker Mexico Pro MP3 head unit
> ‘Just Matz’ floor mats
The car has extensive service history with only 119k to 146k not covered in the service schedule. However, I bought the car from a friend who is a tractor mechanic and who serviced the car himself during this period. Great guy, but not too strong on the admin side!
Regardless, I had the cambelt changed as soon as I bought the car (which I have receipts for) and have had it serviced annually ever since. The last service was completed by QRSport last March so the car is due its next service soon, however I have taken this into consideration in the price.
The car has 12 months MOT, having passed on the 29th Feb without a single advisory note (again, I have the documents to prove this).
The only negative point I can make about the car is that it has a 50pence piece sized area of surface rust on the offside front arch, which can be seen in the pictures. Although this is only surface corrosion it will need dealing with this year.
The lifestyle ‘aqua metallic’ LY6M paint won’t be to everyone’s taste but it makes the car really distinctive and I have had many strangers come up to me to complement the car over the years. To be honest the pictures don’t really do the colour justice, it looks awesome when the sun is out.
All in all the car is great fun to drive and has been extremely reliable throughout my ownership. The KW suspension really has been worth the money I spent on it and has drastically improved the handling of the car. Furthermore, as they are ‘Inoxline’ stainless units they can be raised or lowered at the owner’s leisure with nothing more than a toothbrush (to brush of any dirt) and the coilover spanner.
Well, that’s the main points. If you would like to come and see that car please give me a text or a call on 07972 215 489. I will check the forum regularly but I am on nights this week so best bet will be to call in the afternoons or text.
The car will be in Chester this week but from this Friday 9th March will be at my Dad’s house in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. He has very kindly offered to store the car until it is sold as I have no room for two cars here in Chester.
I look forward to hearing for you!
John
