Audi 80 Sport Edition For Sale

I am putting this up as a feeler, but I am very seriously considering selling my Audi 80 Sport Edition this month.

The insurance is due on April 16th, coincidentally the same day I start my new job 5 miles from home. As a result we no longer need 3 cars and will go down to the Passat and the S2.

I will post up some current pictures soon, but the basic story / spec is:

1991 Audi 80 Sport Edition
2.0 8v engine
140,000 miles
Full service history
Jacquard black satin interior
Kenwood Stereo
Clifford alarm
Jetex straight through exhaust
Decent tyres

MOT Dec '12, Tax October '12

Bad bits:
The bodywork was once very good, however the bonnet has lacquer peel quite badly, and the drivers side front wing is very rusty on the arch lip. The body scrubs up well but the lacquer is looking thin in places without being broken. It has refurbed speedline alloys on it that are good but missing the Audi centre caps on two of the wheels.

The remainder of the car is very clean though with no serious rust on the panels, body or running gear at all.

The gearbox is a bit noisy in all gears, (suspect input bearing) but changes and transmits power perfectly. I also suspect the front NS wheel bearing or cv is starting to make some noise.

Hi mate, such a shame that you are selling it, and at £400 it's a good deal.

Needless to say, you might get more braking it up? Not many B3s appear to so here and classic Audi may shift a load of bits and get more.

Obviously, if you do, I'll take the kamei rear and sides, maybe front grille too.

Shame to see this go as i'd suspect this will outlive your passat by a few years. As lee says put it on classic audi, I doubt it will hang around long.

Thanks chaps. I do have high standards with cars, so to me it is a little tatty and average. Others will probably think it is in really good condition.

I don't really have the time or space to break it, but realise I could possibly make a few hundred quid more taking it to pieces.

I will try and wash it this week and take some pics, then advertise it properly here and on Classic Audi...

BTW the rear Kamei bumper is in very good condition, the front is cracked but could be repaired. Miraculously it still has the towing eye covers in the front bumper....

Pete hit the nail on the head...

• Sideskirts
• Rear Valance
• Possibly the grille if 100% and not cracked
• interior plastic trim that runs down the inside of the car at sill level (cant remember which side - will check)
• plastic seat runner covers
• accelerator pedal if 100% and still attached properly

Thing thats about it off the top of my head mate

It is not quite as mint as that now, but still nice apart from the lacquer peel on the bonnet and the rusty front drivers side arch...
