I have a 69 Delux Beetle for sale.
I have had the car for around 4 years??? I hardly use it and I need it gone to help fund the renovation of the house I am buying. It has done maybe 500 miles since I have put it back on the road in the last 4 years and all in the dry.
A little about the car.
It was garaged in 1985 by the previous owner who got it to rebuild with his dad. His dad sadly passed away and it sat in his garage in pieces with a few bits done until I got hold of it 4 years ago. (Basically it was in dry storage since 1985)
I got it home and rebuilt it as it had everything it needed, brand new, in boxes inside of it. The list is as follows:
1 new 1600 Vege engine
All new fuel lines
All new brake lines (Hard and flexi)
All New brake pistons and pads
All new shocks and steering damper.
All new tyres all round (large on rear, small and skinny on front)
The wiring is in really good condition
It has had minimal welding and is 100% solid. Floors and heater channels are og and not welded - Does not need any welding at all!
It has had new bumper mounts grafted in and front and rear valances. Rear one is removable for easy access to do engine work.
The interior is the orgininal and in really good nick. Does have a tiny rip in headliner but right at the bottom and not really noticeable. All I have done is clean the inside
I have lowered it all round and fitted an adjustable front beam. It is on drums all round and I have had it converted to take Porsche wheels and it currently has Chromed Porsche Cookie Cutters on in really good condition.
The car is white but as it is a rat look (read, couldnt afford paint) It has primered rear wings and rear valance. The front valance is black and white chequered for the ratty look too. Also has a pale blue door for some reason. Has got a few small mods but nothing that cant be put back to original with minimal effort. Basically its a totally solid car that just needs paint. I kept it as original body work wise as I could because I like the distressed look so has some signs of surface rust and a few small dents on the wings but nothing major and isnt in the body. The underneath is all painted and solid as said.
Im looking for around £3,250 ono really.
