80 TDI saloon 137K My mums.

The time has come to move on my mums Audi 80 1.9 TDI.

I have know this car from new! My best friend bought it new in 1992. Had it 5 years and then has been my mums ever since.
It still returns amazing mpg. Engine is very strong. Interior is smart still.
It could do with a pair of front wings and strut top mounts. I would do it but I never get paid for family jobs and have some big out goings to service on my new business premises.
So its done 137000 miles. Amithist pearl. Borbet 15" type Cs. It all works inc sun roof. Usual various dents from car parks..

Any MOT or Tax?
Is it still useable or are the wings and top mounts desperate?
My dad wants a runabout as he has worn his out.

This will come with a very good genuine wing (not the right colour).
Cam belt kit and water pump. All new Audi parts.

Uses less than half the fuel the S2 does, quite nice not having to visit the petrol station at least once a week.

Mine is getting 45mpg, and not eco driving.

Yours must be poorly. I can get 50 not hanging around in town driving. 65 on a run with it.


Getting tempted to keep it, RS2 goes to sleep over the salty period. Wife is in love with my A6 so I won't get that back..
