hi, i looked at the ebay link. be careful when looking at evo 5 and 6's as they're starting to rust underneath now. also check the ayc light comes on when ignition is on and then the light goes off as it should as the ayc pumps can fail if not looked after.

i know its gonna b a mission to find a low ownership example of an Evo, but im gonna take my time, gonna get a cheap tdi till i find the right one......

any more advice is gratefully recieved

Written off with just that amount of damage? I had similar damage and had it repaired on insurance (was my fault reversed into another car doh!) I was a little worried my car may have been written off by what I have read here on S2 Forum, had new rear bumper all the rear lights as they were broken/cracked. They did a cracking job repairing the car although it doesn't appear to be genuine Audi parts used, bumpers not half the weight of the old one I guess shouldn't complain though as it was repaired and not a Cat D as yours is, Best of luck with the sale hope it goes well for you.

It was deemed a cat d due to the number plate recess being 'unsafe for the road'?!

They say now that if the damage exceeds 66% of the value then its deemed a write-off, shame its come to this, as i loved every minute of driving these cars, but every cloud and that? it has been 5 years of ownership and its done me well.
