I am putting my S2 up for sale. I have owned the car since April 2006 and have absolutely loved it since day one and have meticulously cared for it in this time. The paintwork and bodywork are in absolutely A1 condition. Those who know me or have seen the car know that I am quite keen on detailing and am a perfectionist!
The car runs beautifully and still puts a smile on my face when I put my foot down (either on the accelerator or brakes). Prior to my ownership, the car had been re-mapped. I have had it dyno’d at MRC in Banbury in July 2011 where it produced 295bhp and 425Nm torque.
There is no hesitation throughout the rev range and it hits 1.5bar of boost consistently every time.

I have always had the car serviced by S2 specialists, in recent years this has been at Lion Garage in Hinckley (well known on this forum)
Cambelt and waterpump changed at 86202 miles (Feb 2010)
I have fitted some 6000k H1 HID’s to the ellipsoids which are superb. These require no separate earth and as such do not suffer from any autocheck issues.
Brakes

Goodridge braided hoses fitted front and rear.
Rear brake calipers completely refurbished and re-sealed in August 2012.
Wheels & Tyres
18” Audi A8 Sport with Toyo Proxes TR-1 tyres (Wheels were refurbished at the beginning of 2010). See this link for info
The spare is the original 16” with a very good goodyear tyre on it
Interior
Black leather with no marks or wear on the seat bolsters
VDO boost gauge (very OEM looking)
SONY Xplod MP3/WMA CD Headunit with Aux input

New After-Run pump
New Coolant hoses (Roose Motorsport)
New OEM Behr Main Radiator
Suspension
Front wishbones and OEM bushes replaced along with new RS2 drop-links, superflex antiroll bar bushes and new track rod ends
In April 2011 I had the rear subframe shot blasted and powder coated and replaced the subframe bushes with powerflex and all other bushes with OEM replacements. I replaced one rear wishbone and had the other blasted and powder coated and fitted with new OEM bushes.
I also replaced all the rear diff mounts which has tightened up the driveline. See the thread below for info.
After all of this work I had the car fully aligned.
In July 2012 I replaced the passenger side rear shock absorber after it was reported to be leaking during an MOT test. I also replaced the top mount at this time. I have the drivers side to do and can do this prior to the sale.
The car comes with an MOT until August 2013 and I will put 6 months tax on it.
Bad points:

I know some people may view this as strong money for an S2 but this is a particularly good example. As such I’d prefer it if people didn’t comment on the price etc. unless they are genuinely interested.

Bad points:
- The fan resistor has blown and as such the fans only works on the highest setting. I am keeping my eye out for a new resistor but can’t guarantee it will be replaced before it sells. For those that don’t know they are quite cheap (<£40) should I not be able to source one.
- There is a water leak from the water manifold and also from the auxiliary radiator. This isn’t a problem, I just have to top the reservoir up every once in a while and it’s not bad enough to warrant getting in there and changing things.
