the time has come..... ;( s2 avant for sale...

    Boo Hoo..

Time has come for me to part with my favourite thing. My Audi S2 Avant 1994 in Emerald Green, Full Cream leather interior (stunning and heated) Carbon Fiber trim. All the kit. I have never seen another S2 Avant with this interior so even rarer than a standard S2 Avant too!

Resprayed this time last year and stored.

Some pix of the respray can be seen at http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthr...024#post645024

Contact me for more details and more pix.

All stock except for wheels and lowered suspension, which IMHO makes it look - and Handle even better. A real "Wolf in sheeps clothing"

This car is absolutely superb and some lucky $%^%^ is going to have allot of good times with this UR uberwagon, shame its not me, but with a little'un on its way it seems the Mrs says its time for a more "sensible" motor.. boo! Maybe an r8 then

    The facts:

    The Good:

170k on the clock - so its almost bedded in!
apart from the lower sill trim, its 100% body wise.
    Engine solid
    Drive train solid
    gearbox (6 speed manual) tight
    Interior very clean
    All electrics good

    The Bad:

The catalytic converter was "de-catted" by opening it up and removing the honey comb. This was done by QR Sport in Cheshire. It has passed several MOT's in this state, but be warned it's not a guaranteed pass. De-cat kit or new cat would be the only thing to do. I had planned on a full stainless steel exhaust, but never had the chance.

The rear wiper has an issue, it appears to be the console switch, a pretty simple fix, but TBH who needs a rear wiper!

    The Ugly:

The lower rubber trim on the sills are not 100%. I'm sure it would be easy to source replacements, or as recommended by the guy who did the respray, some carbon fiber vinyl trim would work well here and not cost more than 30 quid, would do a good job of protecting against stone chips, and with the carbon interior would be in the spirit of the car.

    ------------------------------------------

Looking for £5000 GBP but open to sensible offers. The car is currently in Crewe (Cheshire). Not interested in meeting any tyre kickers or test pilots, you either know what this car is or you don't. If you don't, go buy a Passat, this S2 will scare you.

So, if you want a really clean example of an S2 Avant, get in touch!

just want to mention Charlie at Prospeed in Cardiff...

Failed emissions, could not locate a replacement cat for the avant (twin cat) for love nor money. After a lot of searching I discovered that Prospeed could sort it. Great service, and the car now has a full 12 months MOT. If it doesnt sell, Im gonna treat the S2 Avant to a full stainless as he offered me a price I couldnt really refuse!

        Hmmm......

Thats identical to mine, 94 emerald green with full cream leather and black dash. I'd never seen another one the same either. Easily the best color combo

In the end I decided to keep it. Got an offer of 4600 but was not gonna give it away. Now I have something to play with in the Alps! Yes!

Can I enquire what springs and shocks are fitted ?

                  18" rims ?

                  Thanks.

Good call Nick to keep it,but I have to say.....you asked for 5000 ono and yet turned down 4600?? I would certainly call that a sensible offer on the asking and not 'giving it away'. Enjoy in the Alps !!

@MAcspring, yes 18 inch on lowered springs. Couldn't say what type, it was done by the previous owner. Makes the ride a little harsh on rough roads, which is pretty much everywhere in the alps, but it makes cornering so much better.. In the next year or so when I get a chance I will do some tweaks, not too sure yet. It is after all my "family" car. Maybe I should just get myself a Dialynx sport quattro to fettle.

@Notorious, yep, I really didn't want to sell it eh!

I now have private parking for the s2 too, so its not going to get hurt by jealous locals targeting GB plates..
