2002 Audi A4 2.5 Tdi Quattro Sport 180, Fsh Elite Remap

    Hello All,

Posting this only after a few months of ownership as my girlfriend is pregnant and after doing a trial run with the baby seat installed in the back we soon realised that there is very little room for all the gear that will be needed once junior comes along. Im 6ft 6" so have my seat pretty much all the way back on the runners so no one can really fit behind me, even with just the baby seat installed behind me i have to adjust my seat too far forward to be comfortable.

So regrettably after such a short ownership it's time to move on.

I have done quite a lot to it in the last few months fixing various bits and bobs that required attention.

    Replaced so far are-
    Oil and filter
    Fuel filter
    Pollen filter
Front axle upper (front and rear) suspension arms
Front anti roll bar drop links
    4 x Brake flexi's
    Drivers headlight
    Drivers fog light
    New Genuine MAF
Elite remap up to around 210 bhp with big increase in torque which comes in lower in the rev range, big improvement over standard!!
New driver wing due to rust around the arch (very common on these)
Bonnet resprayed due to stone chips
Passenger wing and both passenger doors resprayed due to a couple of car park dings that kept catching my eye (these were also sorted when getting sprayed)

Basically the car is looking mint now and quite annoyed that it's got to go so soon.

Its got full service history with around 6 or 7 stamps main dealer then independent there after.

Current mileage has just turned 114k so pretty low for one of these really.
Timing belt was changed @ around 85k i think? Working away at the moment so not at home to double check.

The cams have been changed at some point before my ownership (this can also be a common problem with these cars) so peace of mind there for the future.

I put a fresh MOT on it when i bought it so around 10 months left and 4 months tax.

    Bad bits are-
Aircon does not work, further investegation needed.
Rear subframe bushes will need replacing, again haven't got round to doing them yet.

The car looks well mint now and goes really well after the new maf and remap.

I got just under 500 miles to a full tank of fuel and this was with the faulty MAF, not found out what it will do to a full tank now with the new MAF and remap but i filled it last week and so far have done 150 miles and only used a quarter tank. This was all motorway miles averaging 70-80 mph. Not too bad on fuel i guess considering the extra poke it's got.

Anyhow guys, i've probably missed something but i'm sure you've got enough details for the time being.

I've wanted an E39 M5 for ages now which will have plenty of room for the new addition and accessories, so ideally would like to swap for one of those with money towards the M5. Probably on the wrong forum to find one of these but already have a 3B S2 which is in the garage awaiting some TLC (no change there, he he!!)

I would however like a late ABY so could be tempted to swap for one of those. I have another few months before the misses is due so got some time to save for a cheapish M5 if that was the case.

Right that really is enough waffling for now.

I've advertised the car on glasgow gumtree for £4250 so will take it from there.

    Thanks for looking
    Gordon
