Thought I would post this on here before putting it on Trader,Pistonheads and Fleabay as someone will get a decent genuine new motor and I would rather it went to someone who will treat it well.
Unfortunately my mother has been diagnosed with brain cancer and has to surrender her driving licence. She obviously has no need for the car now. It was purchased in Sept 2012 brand new with 10 delivery miles on the clock. She is nearly 65 and is no boy racer.
Petrol 1.4, Metallic Pearl Black option paint and all the usual VW stuff including a VW clip on Bluetooth phone thing. It is mint in every sense of the word. She also paid 500quid extra for the fabric treatment and undercar treatment to prevent rust etc. They even make you pay extra for mats and mudflaps, was quite surprised looking at purchase bill
It was £14500 new and she would like £12k for it. I told her this was unlikely if she wanted a quick sale, so have advised her to aim more realistically for £11500 but to expect people to maybe offer around £11k. I will not allow her to sell it for less as there is no hurry as such.
If anyone is interested maybe for wives, girlfs etc, you are welcome to PM and organise a view/test drive with the correct insurance. Real shame but it has to go. I would have it myself but it wouldn't pull the skin off a bowl of custard so I could not live with it but I have to say, it drives beautifully and is very very quiet. Typical VW build quality I guess.
