What's it worth????

Guys I have the chance of an m reg s2
Avant in black been sat for 7 years its
All there but in quite a state. It was laid
Up after an electrical problem & just forgotten
About. What do you reckon it's worth?

I wouldn't pay more than a grand for it, but start at £500

It's worth 1k upwards based on current prices. Really depends on specification and condition.

If its a runner the engine is worth £1200-£1500
Front bumper £250-£300
Projector headlamps £225-£300
Steering wheel £75-£100
Clocks £100-£200
Front Hubs £100-£150
6 speed box £250 +++++

So that's one way to look at it, or the fact that they are becoming rarer and rarer so what would it be worth to you in good condition in another 10 years time

I would have thought the engines worth more like 600 gbp, specially if its been sat all the aux parts are likely to be fairly corroded

When I say engine, my idea of selling engines complete it includes everything that would be required to fit it into another car so all ancillary items, loom, ECU, intercooler etc.

Again like all S2's etc

Even if you stripped an engine to component form they fetch even more in bits than they do complete.

I reckon it's worth buying & storing till
I get the coupe the way I want.

Yes I got that, But old turbo not spin for years, alternator, starter, compressor, lots of salt, ect ??? condensation in the engine 6 yrs

would not want use that stuff without rebuilding it

1500 can buy a lot

Given what you can get a decent S2 for nowadays, a knackered one isn't worth much really...
