"Sooty" for SALE - 1.9 TDi

    !!!! SOLD !!!! SOLD !!!!! SOLD !!!!

Ok guys due to a couple of fall throughs, i still have sooty taking up space in my garage! Would like her gone asap to make room for my S2, so sensible offer welcome!!!

Well, the time has come where ill have to part with Sooty. Now im guessing we all know how and where this car came to being, but in case you don't, then have a read HERE

So i bought Sooty off Jas exactly 2 years ago tomorrow! Weird! and she was destined to be my daily driver so i could lavish more time on the S2. Shes awesome, and maybe that's just cause im a sucker for B4s but there's nowt better than parking beside all the modern crap! But life, work, all sorts of crap really has changed and i need something more modern to shuttle clients about in. bah! So had thought about keeping her, but really need to get on with the S2.

So shes not perfect and shes no show queen, but if your after a project or a daily to park up the S2 then shes ideal.

    Current issues:
Requires new front shocks. By product of being so low. Bit bouncy.
Front offside driveshaft has its moments. Gets a little knocky at 70 but has settled down again.
Rear offside caliper is a lil sticky. Rebuilt it bout 8 months ago but its sticky again.

Shes red, so goes pink in places if you don't polish her! Shes got the odd age related blemish and a few little scuffs, small dent in roof, paint cracked on rear bumper (think jas was in a hurry, backwards!) small chip on front bumper corner. Interiors only issue is worn down driver bolster.

So.......lets not look at this through rose specs, two ways to look at her, shes either a 1993 80 TDi with 230k on her with more than a few tweaks. Or, we can look at her as a pile of cool bits on a rolling shell. Shes motd to mid November, buts shes sornd at mo.

Shes been serviced with belts etc just a few months ago. Now could do with timing belt which goes with her. Had many of these over the years and although shes got the highest mileage out of all of them she got the best engine, pulls hardest and idles perfectly, plus no judders!!

    So parts:
S2 front bumper with grills and lights etc
    S2 Avant rear bumper
Set of 5 Avus alloys, 4 refurbd powder coated. 2 have pitting damage before coating.
Good tyres all round inc front two which are nokian winters.
    S2 front hubs
    A4 rear discs/hubs
Front quattro script seats / cw with heated elements.
    3 spoke steering wheel
Alloy air vent with aux gauges
    Pioneer cd player
    Motorola hands free kit.
    She doesn't have elipsoids.

So i could break her but i really don't want to....

So, ill give you guys first shout, i reckon the parts and a decent engine makes her worth 700. Shes located in Motherwell Scotland, ML1 2FL. Obviously without tax she'll need a trailer or i can tax for you.

So heres a few pics...... pm me if your interested.
    or text me 07878488345

    All the best, Al.

Ahhh, the auld soot monster. Still miss this great car. Was a right laugh building it. Even more so considering the bag of manky bolts it was when I bought it. A real credit to it's former owner...................NOT.
                Scruffy git.

It never missed a beat for me. Rain or shine it started and just went...........well.

Thanks for the first refusal txt the other day Al, alas times have changed and I get very little time for cars these days. Work is bonkers and home time is spent with the rapidly growing little sweetie of a daughter.

Car is looking in great nick mate, you kept your word and looked after her well. Hats off.

Good luck with the sale and happy soot making to the new owner.
