Audi S2 wanted

My name is Nelson and I live in California. Unfortunately I live in the United States, where the Audi S2 was never sold. I am however willing to go to the ends of the earth to find a quattro, I could not drive any other car. If you have an S2 that you would like to sell to an owner that would baby it please let me know. Thanks

Are you guys planning on stashing them for a couple of years before you can register the cars in the US? Think you have a few years to go yet before you can put S2's on the road over there.

S2 in the USA

I didnt know they were so rare in the US, I have seen a few for sale in the US and it seems they are street legal just extremely rare. My Mechanic is the Lead Tech for Audi proving grounds out here in AZ, I was going to take it to him and start modding it. Coilovers, Turbo, intercoolers, new wheels, etc. pretty much make it a bad *** superfast street machine. I love my a4 quattro, I cant wait to get an audi coupe . I want this one though, the S2 is special, no one has these out here.

What about a urS6 Avant, done to RS2+ spec, getting rare'ish in the States now also.

KW Coilovers, 18" mk 1 S8 rims, 255/35/18 tyres and a FMIC, Stromung, and a suitable turbo, and an IROZ exhaust manifold etc. ?

or make an S2 Avant with RS2+ spec using a B4 V6q Avant ? Might be less expensive in the long run ?

I thought there was a law making it impossible to register S2's over in the USA and it's few years yet before they fall into another category and can be done so legally, I'm more than happy to be wrong though.

I'm 99% sure the one's you've seen over there will be very good clones built out of US spec 20V Coupe quattro's with URS4/4 engines and parts shipped over from Europe. Speaking hypothetically it's also possible to import an S2 and cough 'convert 'cough it into a US CQ in an afternoon, but that would be very naughty

Correct. There are a few actual S2s in Canada. and there are a couple grey market rs2s floating about in the US, and technically our S2 forum friend Tom has an S2 in the US that he is making into his famous RS2 America.

technically it isn't a legal car to have, in a few years, they will be when the '25 year' rule applies.
