I'm off to see this red avant tomorrow morning with a view to purchasing it just wondered if its a know car on the forum or if anybody knows anything about it ?

I was keeping an eye on this as well. Mileage is low and it looks fairly good with what seems like a genuine write up. As with all cars, it needs to be viewed and driven with attention paid to the history available.

Not known to me but someone else on here might know otherwise. Good luck with it

I first saw this for sale back in 2007/8 with only 77,000 on pistonheads.Price then was £6,500 and the car did look totally Mint back then including the cloth anthracite interior.I have pictures of it and when i get the pictures back from my old computer you can have them if you want.You will have to wait though.Have seen it for sale twice since i think.Last owner tried to sell the number plate seperately saying it was a private plate which of course it isnt.Folks didnt fall for it as its still with the car.Looks like a really good buy if the mileage stacks up which it probably will as these cars today are ususally second or third cars and dont do the mileage they once did when new and petrol being double what it was.I hope it turns out what your looking for... good luck!!!

Its only money and this seller obviously set his reserve on ebay.A very superior car "superior" from what i saw 7 years ago a very original and mint car it was.I would have been very interested myself but already have the S6 now and am now looking for an A2.
By the way just love it down your way superb roads and Britford is 2lb Roach heaven .Heavenly!!! Enjoy your car and please do clean it and wax it and take some stunning shots of it next to a nice bit of the Avon down there.Nice Nice

you like the fishing then voursch !!! I used to fish the avon for the barble and chub until i found out about the bass fishing off christchurch ledge and bought myself a boat ..... its a whole different game plus my freezer is full of bass

Yes love the fishing always have done way before cars came on the scene which took over somewhat.Caught a 2lb 1oz 8drm Roach a few weeks ago along with 12lb more of roach in a magical 2hr period!! Glad your happy with the car and to be honest (i take it the mileage is genuine) i think you have found a very original genuine unmolested car that has been maitained well thats why it drives so smooth and straight which seems quite rare on here. Chris yates the legend he is fishes for the Bass too nowadays.Tried the sea fishing once and didnt like it No finnese whatsoever. Please do get your photos up here as soon as.Really nice ti see the car again after all these years.
