AUDI A4 2.8 QUATTRO 99

Tax and Test till start of may, 152,000 miles, heated leather interior, 6cd changer (in boot, (working) air con, 4 x very good tyres and brand new spare.

Selling as I have a newer car. Owned it for the last 4 years and its been very reliable.

The only bad bit is one of the hand brake cables has snapped but, I have a genuine new cable which will come with the car.

Cambelt was changed about 15,000 miles ago.

The car is in Bedale, Northyorkshire.

Ha ha, that's the spirit. I love (and hate) the chase of a new motor. Good luck with it, hope you get it. Never had one myself but came close a few winters back. Always been a slight itch but something always got in the way of scratching it.

late facelift B5`s drive amazing and amazing spec`d

dont like early A4`s so much though, just feel different.

Rapid, nice V6, quattro and the facelift one which is always a bit nicer.

Bargain! Need an Avant 'hack' like this soon, A4 or A6 would be great, 2.8 quattro facelift would be ideal, and I would much prefer a forum car someone had cared for over the last four years than taking a risk on something similarly cheaply priced on autotrader

My wife has a B5 saloon in 1.8T form (W Reg), it is a nice car (well was when I bought it for her!) but isn't very economical averaging about 25mpg only around town. So a V6 is probably a good choice as I cant imagine it being much worse!

The well equipped ones with leather etc are very nice and comfortable and still look modern today (ish)

Only thing I don't like about them is they are small in the rear including the avant hence me now being in a A6 estate.

I owned a very nice facelift S4 B5 in Noggy blue (Saloon) many a year a go now and a B5 RS4 (estate obviously) and the space was my only critisim... indeed the saloon I think is a very small car.

Fuel was poor in both the above as well which is probably no surprise though, the S4 averaging very low 20s on a run and the RS4 averaging around 13mpg around town...

I reckon my old 30v a4q was doing about 17mpg round town,30 on a run.Amazing value for money though these things

What you got to replace it with Baz?


Edit, I just remembered mine was tiptronic so explains why it was poor around town

Nothing fancy. 10 plate passat 2.0tdi estate, it was a reps car from my work hence the 180000 mileage

I would agree on the mpg, my 7 mile commute was usually 25mpg and 30 was doable on a run. We dont have a town to drive around over here so never got that low
