shame its an auto as im after 1 but gta realy be a manual as the 3speed autos seem to scream/rev quiet high at say 70-80 ish iv had a few many moons ago also after a nice 80 quattro also to add to the collection

They came with injection from the factory in the later rears, my 1984 80 CD was a 5E as well. Never originally fitted with a 2.1 or 2.2 though.

It's a 2.1 folks
The guy who is running the classic car auction is bit of an Audi nut and it was him who found out only 11 on road

It's def 5 cylinder injection
Hence 5e
Says 2.0 on b5 but led to believe its a 2.1
Sorry can't really check until sat and fingers crossed I sell all

Sadly mate i think being auto will be its biggest downfall

incidently, the engine IS a 2.0 JS 5 cylinder
