Sorry I can't help there, but did you see the other item he has for sale? Weird to say the least.

Those things are very popular in the USA apparently, I watched a documentary about them a while ago

Not much a father. Says it was made for him but he is parting with it after 3months. Very very very odd indeed ha ha.

Yup, but I don't mind, those are the facts of the car. I guess it just shows that some people don't bother with trying to convey the car as it currently stands.

Its really sad to see that it hasn't been consistently owned by someone and had the niggles done, I spent so much time and money on the car but it just wouldn't work for me the way it should.

I would love to see it go to a good home and for someone to finish it off

I emailed the guy and asked if there were any issues with the car and he replied none just the oil temp guage.

I remember seeing it when you sold it last year on ebay ( i think? ) but didn't know then that it was you selling it.I must admit it looked such a clean B3.

Yeah, its a weird one, I sold it to a guy round the corner, explained what it needed at the time (engine mount, some smaller wiring tidy bits and the throttle cable), the guy did those and a calliper at the front, then sold it on saying he had the chance to buy a quattro (he never did)

The guy selling it now mentions about the oil temp gauge not working, but its been like that since we put the engine swap in (it basically needs a T-adaptor and sensor to send the signal, they are about £30 from demon tweaks) but I was so concentrated on fixing the running at the time that I never got round to the oil gauge.

If I had the money and the space I would buy the car back in a heartbeat. It was a good car and I think I should have garaged it for 6 months to forget about it and approach fresh, rather than spend 18 months continually problem solving.

I hope someone picks it up and keeps it going, properly this time
