    URS6 MOT failure for sale

My 1996 URS6 finally has to go. I've had this car since 2000, used daily & been fantastic. I've been limiting the spending over the last couple of years to MOT work, but this time around it's too much and she'll have to go. I'd hate to see it scrapped so looking to see if there any interest in her amongst you enthusiasts for repair or spares. Can still be driven at the moment, but the current MOT exprires in a few days, ideally would like it gone by then.

    so..

    1996 S6
    200,000 miles

Engine/gearbox/turbo all seem fine. It also has MTM stage1 remap.
Bodywork not too bad generally, there is a bit of rust on the fron o/s wing, and a dent in the tailgate, with broken light panels (see pic)
Interior is OK, grey leather in good condition expect for a small bit on the drivers right side. Aircon does not work - needs new condensor, sunroof is diconnected - probably needs a new motor.

    MOT issues are

crack in windscreen - in the corner & has passed MOTs like this before, but should be replaceable with insurance.
    A few bulbs
    o/s rear caliper needs replacing
o's track roid end ball joinyt cover
o/s from lower suspension arm rubber bush
o/s from anti roll bar bush
    handbrake efficiency

    plus a few advisories
Front brake discs worn, both front c/v joint gaiters

Looking for offers of £500 +.

OK there's a fair bit of interest it seems, so not knowing what price to settle for I've put into into the hands of ebay. Good luck and I hope she finds a good home.

Not a bad result, nearly a grand more less fees

If it actually goes for that price (never sure with ebay?) then it's a very good price and indeed overpaid I'd say.

Went for a very good price. The last one I was watching was in good condition a years mot and taxed until end of this year and went for £1200.

Cheers all, yes quite a nice surprise, had another bidder for even more who was stopped from his bid by an eBay glitch . I'll believe it when I have the cash, which I gonna take awhile as I still have to transfer the private plate (my mistake).
But I am really really going to miss this car, driving my 97 cabriolet 2.6 now , till I decide what to replace the s6 with - might even get another old s6 if I miss it too badly

Let him driveaway with the car, keep hold of the V5, MOT and tax disc.- give him a photocopy of all 3.

send the docs off to dvla for the transfer- when the docs comeback- sign and send the V5 off in new owners name (a squiggle in the new keepers signature section suffices) send the tax disc and MOT (with the standard VRM) to the new owner.
