Hi all, can't believe I'm putting up this thread but having passed some difficult months
with illness I've decided maybe it is time for other priorities... or maybe not, but I'm open for the sell.
I'll try to describe it as honest and fully described as possible. The amount of work
and care that went in to it is immense as you will notice, and for me the car always
had to be ready to take a 4-5000km roadtrip, as I've done multiple times with no problems. This is a fully reliable RS2 that has always had things needed replaced immediatly, and more so had parts replaced in a preventive way.
First the basics:
- RS2 Avant from 1995 so facelift model, originally German car
- Volcano black with black leather recaros
- Carbon Trim
- Full option bar the dog net, but everything like heated seats, cruise control, electr sunroof, the 322 big brake kit, ...
- current mileage is 244.000km
- massive history file with a map that won't even close anymore
I'll describe the whole car with the things that have been done between 2 years ago and now.
Engine/gearbox
Fully rebuilt with rebuilt head (crackfree), new pistons 1st oversize, H-beam rods, crankshaft, oilpump, sputter bearings, waterpump + roller + belt, timing sprocket, afterrun pump, every possible seal and gasket, all vacuum lines and valves new, all new CV, new oil pressure senders, new lambda, new water piping, new engine mounts, plastic timing belt covers, new injector inserts, expantion tank, new DV and N75, fuel filter + fuel lines in copper with new tank lid, ITG airfilter... the list goes on, I think very little hasn't been renewed.
Gearbox is the stronger version, with new master and slave cylinders, new gearbox mounts, and new Sachs performance pressure plate and OEM clutch. Also has a 034 Motorsport solid shifter which gives great feeling.
hybrid KKK K26/27 turbo
Full 3" exhaust from BFR (the very best)
Wagner exhaust manifold
TFSI coils with NGK 8 plugs
Bosch EV14 510cc injectors
Bosch 044 fuel pump
Schrick lightweight lifters
Roose silicone hoses + markH mod
Mocal 16 row oilcooler
It has been remapped by PRJ about 2 months ago, and it does nearly 1.9bar tops tailing off to around 1.7bar. Not been on a dyno but should be around 440hp... it goes like stink. Launch control also programmed.
Suspension/brakes/steering:
Rebuilt and painted + decals 322mm big reds, with very good discs and as new OEM Porsche pads, and new hard lines in front (flex hoses were done 3 years ago). No judder and stops like hell, being 95 it also has the bigger master cylinder.
It has as new H&R coilovers with topmounts that DO NOT rattle thanks to some expensive CompParts bearings inside them.
Polybushed new arms and ARB in front, Neuspeed polybushed 19mm ARB in the rear with reinforcing brackets. New trackrod ends in front.
New rear diff bushes and and diff support bushing
New steering pump with cleaned circuit and fresh oil.
Laser aligned by a Porsche specialist, it drives dead straight with a beautiful agile handling that has nothing to do with how a normal worn RS2 drives. No driveline
shunt or judder, feels very firm.
Bodywork/wheels:
The 17" Cup wheels are as MINT, with 4x very good Eagle F1 Assymetric 2's on them.
Wheels have been straightened last year (these wheels bend over the years).
Body has had a nose job last year to get rid of the usual front wing rust.
It has had new fog and indicators and lights (€) so the front end really is top, and not a blasted stone chipped mess. The grills in the bumper have been resprayed but they could do with a another go despite having had them sandblasted before painting.
Lower door trims all are fine, with the left ones having been replaced completely last year. Rest of bodywork is general is, as you can see on the pictures, really stunning.
The only downsides are some minor bubbling beneath the rear window (classic..) and
a light scruff on the rear bumper on the right lower side. Really only a few little things away from a 'wow' bodywork imo.
A nice extra is the OEM Votex rear spoiler with paper-work.
Interior:
Everything works, non smoker vehicle, no damage whatsoever. Drivers seat has been redyed and leather crack-filled 2 years ago (it is a bit darker in shade to be honest but imo it doens't bother). Aircon worked fine up until last summer. As for now the compressor and condensor are out since there was a leak in one of the lines. I'm no aircon fan to be honest but everything is there to put it back in, with a repaired hose.
Stereo-wise it has a amplifier in the boot with some expensive macrom speakers in the doors and very high end ones in the dash... not connected in for the moment but the hardware is there
Had a new interior comfort relay (known failure) and new bulbs in the dash.
2.5bar boost gauge in correct colours
Right, so as you can see it's been threated with a fair bit of love. All the things that tend or will fail on these cars have been replaced making it a fully usuable and reliable RS2. I'd still get in it to drive to the south of france without a sweat, and
that has always been my priority, having it mechanically to notch with some great upgrades.
It is stored in a dry garage and for the last year hasn't been out in the rain again.
Price is 22000€ / 17850gbp
