I do prefer the look of the b7 tbh, but they command about £2-3k more. I'll keep saving, and if the budget increases enough before I find a really decent B6 then i probably will go for a B7.
I started keeping an eye on B6's for sale about this time last yer so i could get used to prices and what to look for. Obvioulsy i wasnt ready to buy one at the time but i decided to go and view on that came up for sale in a Garage that i know only about 5 miles from my house. It had been there only a couple of days. It was a nice example but at the time i didnt really how nice i was. It was a 2003 manual avant in nogaro with the blue/black interior, had a couple of options on it including carbon, heated seats and park aid. But the big thing was that the timing gear had been changed along with a JHM clutch fitted in the last 12 months...... a guy bought it the following day. Ive actually contacted the garage to contact the buyer a see if he would be willing to sell it. But its a long shot.
Im sure one will come along, but i'll have to be patient as im quite fussy. It'll have to have had the chains done (unless it has a very frequent -sub 10k interval service history from new) and if it has more than 75k on the clock i would like to see an invoice for a new clutch too. It has to have Bose. And heated seats carbon and park assist would be nice too. And it definitely cant be silver (its magnolia bland to me)
There was one for sale on audisrs in the last month that i would have bought if for sale not, so im confident that they do come up.... Fingers crossed.
