I thought one or more members are looking for a quattro 20V, shouldn't hang around long I would think.

It locks original paint for me.Before we both it,lady oner had it for 20 years. It in not passed mot for rear subframe and rusty fuel lines. All been fixed and pass mot about year ago. Then it not been driving much.Car is very good condition for this age, just few marks on rear bumper. We fitted s2 steering wheel and no more modification.Any one interesting in it,can come and have a look.If no one buy here soon it will go on ebay. You probably seen that I sell a lot stuff.Just need money for my new engine build

Damn, why didn't this come up a couple of months ago..!?!

Picked up a 16v when I was looking for one of these and none came up.

Opinions guys... is the 20vq that much better than the 16v.. enough for me to buy this and sell the 16v...?

The valver is very clean, 104k, and pretty much fault-free. Hmmm.

Yes buy this cq20v. Audrius knows his cars and this looks like a good one. They are very rare in this condition

Chuck some VW 1.8 cams in your 16v and theres really not much in it

                Looks tidy mind!

I'd like to think that an ABF inlet cam or pair of KR cams would give me cq20v performance, but I doubt it!

Gonna sleep on this I think..

No amount of cam will make a 16v sound as good as a 20v though

I had KR cams in my old 6a running 170bhp, which is 20v territory

Didn't sound bad either although agree, slightly offbeat 20v beats it hands down!

This car will pass mot no problem,if need I can do with mot.I done some work on it in past.16v can't beat I5 20v sound. We keep this one for 7a turbo project. But now more important to sorted my s2 engine.

It's not only the sound although that should be a good argument. What about torque, the 5-pot will have more than the 16V even if you get it to 170bhp (why do people rave about the bhp so much when torque makes more difference to what a car is like to drive IMO). And you will have a quattro drivetrain that is similar to the S2 drivetrain (easy to convert to 5x112 hubs, plug and play).

The only downside is the weight compared to the 16V fwd.

                              Agreed.

OP, I am free to come and look at the car on Friday. But only with MOT. PM me if you like :-)
