Its in damn good nic but is it a silly price?? These cars are so damn rare they should command bigger money agree about interior not my taste lol!!! bodywork looks immaculate and been owned by the last owner for a long long time which is always a good thing I reckon

i saw this earier and thought stiff money but to be honest it looks in great shape and they should be driving up prices. Interior is a quick swap so not that bad to resolve.

They don't command big prices.That price is ridiculous and being sold by a speculator.Aqua's ABY on here is a better car/spec than this 3b and is for sale at £4,795 ono and despite it being on for a long time no takers yet. That must prove something about price surely.

Asking price, selling price and value for money are all very different things
Its worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. A picture isn't a good indication of true condition in my experience. It looks on the face of it to be a very tidy 3B but the painted lower sections are not to my taste and IMHO will put off a lot of buyers. Naff retrim aside, the interior looks very tidy.

I reckon that's the sort of money a well cared for example should be commanding. The S2 Coupe is one of those cars that really stands out these days amongst all the boring rubbish on our roads and that's what a lot of folk want now. There is the theory that if the price is too low it can put people off so price these cars in the bracket they deserve. Exclusivity and originality costs money and that's definitely what you get with an S2.

That car can value that money or more only if:no rust on suspension,no rust on brake/fuel lines,no big body damage,perfect/new suspension parts,etc etc.
You can easily get to that price or more with a cheap rusty car,bad valve seals repairs,bad suspension,dead gearbox etc etc etc.
And the thing about ABY aqua's does not mean prices are or should be low.It means there is no asking in the market or people does not realize what money you have to spend to get a nice car.
For example Bartolomeus black s2 hardly sold for 8500 eur? with 2 or 3k km since rebuild and more than 12k spend only in parts/labour not considering car value.Just 1 person realized the bargain.The polish guy that bought it.

Have you ever got all suspension off a car,dismantle all(bearings,rubber),get the driveshafts off,get the end joints off,the rubbers and sandblast+por 15 or powdercoating all?And buy all new bearings,propshaft center bearing etc etc?
And take the cylinder head off,replace valve guides,seals,chain,put new oe valves,face mill the head,buy all headgasket kit?
Get all brake lines off and replace them?
Look and buy expensive trims,etc?
Dismantle all the car for professional paint?
Buy new headlights,fog lights,turn signals?
Buy new rubber door trims?

If you did that for any of your cars you will know that it is MUCH MORE expensive to buy a cheap rusty car and rebuild it compared to buying a mint car.

And another thing.There are cars that will value more even if not mint compared to mint but too common models.

All i am saying you get what you pay for.I am not saying that the 10k eur s2 for sale is a mint car.Maybe it is better that all s2 we all have.Maybe it is not.
Some have time to look years for a cheap mint car they love.Some buy rusty cars and hope to get mint ones.And there are people that buy mint cars when they want one.
