sent it down south to a supposedly reputable vw restoration place to have a twiniscrewcharger bigger injectors, cams ect,the guy had it over a year after a few arguments over phone he said come & get it otherwise its going out on streets. So i got a couple of mates to get it & he he basically charged me over £7k to to do that to it.If ii wasn't paralyzed from neck down i would have gone for some sort of redemption. but i guess it was my own fault for trusting paying up front.

OMFG!!!!!!! That really is another Corey job, how these ******s can get away with such awful work and customer services and stay in business is beyond me.:corey::corey::corey:. £7 F'in K to basically wreck your car is beyond a piss take, I guess you've got to report them to trading standards and start a civil claim for damages via the county court. Which as I know is a tedious process and may well not get you anywhere, I recently had some safety critical parts work loose after having four wheel alignment done but it pretty much boils down to my word against theirs

I would be very tempted to name and shame, use the term 'allegedly' or similar where appropriate to cover yourself from a legal standpoint, if nothing else it could save another enthusiast the same heart ache.

Anyway, that looks like a lovely example Neil, obviously you still have the car and have found someone else trustworthy to put right all the wrongs, are you going to keep it once the work is complete?

The one I have is a converted run out model 8V with a mint body and interior, however the same can't be said about the conversion and I'm about halfway through sorting out various bodges and doing a proper job of the pipe work and PAS system etc. It's going to be for sale once complete, sadly along with my LHD G60 Corrado on 70K miles due to taking the RS2 plunge earlier this year when I was kindly offered the right car came by a member on here.

Still got my S2 though and it's not going anywhere, It's currently my daily driver and tatty it maybe I love it! I have no intentions of ever selling either of my Audi's or the 1988 16V MK2 I have tucked away.

Decent software alone will take a healthy S2 to 280 BHP for about £200, their pretty dam quick then. Beyond that RS2+ spec offers up to 380 BHP and bolts straight on as well as looking OE, can be done for under £2K if you pick parts up at the right price and do the installation yourself. My lightened RS2 spec 3B is really quite fast enough for the road...

But I'm thinking about making that even quicker fairly soon, it's a bit like a disease, so get your wallet ready for a hammering.

There are many options with these cars and if your prepared to open the engine and spend big bucks then the sky's the limit, it's torque and the way it's delivered that dictates whether stronger rods ect are necessary. The main enemy is pre-ignition so good mapping is vital.

Yes K.S its ****ing shocking IMHO it felt like he took liberties because i'm in a wheelchair i hate pity or people feeling sorry for me. I broke my neck i'm paralyzed thats that! All i ask is for people to treat my as they would an able bodied bloke.

The only reason i didn't take further was because he was a curtain area of London pretty well know for gang related shootings not that my mates aren't a full shilling which non of them are but thats besides the point.

No K.S the car is still in the garage with the engine half built the wiring loom has just been cut to peices so non existent really door cards have been half inched, original bbs center caps same, aerial, original edition 1 recaro's its just been wrecked from the looks of it.

What do you mean run out convertion? I've got another G60 engine 2 G-Ladder Chargers & a Lysholm twiniscrewcharger.
How hardy are these engines & gearboxes ,internals ect before introducing forged.
What are the standard turbo's in them? I wouldn't be able to spit on a part let alone fit it lol.
Yeah my wallets had hammering every where bar the stitches Mitsubishi legnum VR4 2.5 V6 Twin Turbo. spent about £6k on that Vipec ECU, competition clutch,Flywheel ect.

                      RS2 spec?

That really suck balls that they should take liberties given your situation, sorry to hear you broke your neck, obviously that seriously effects how much work you can do yourself!

I can understand your reasons for leaving sleeping dog's lie if there's the potential for things to get that heavy, I live in the country and the only guns around hear belong to farmers.

That's awful that it's been left in that state, with parts missing as well as damage to the body and loom, are you planning on getting sorted when you can find someone trustworthy?

By 'run out conversion' I meant a UK late model 1992 (ie run out) MK2 GTi 8 valve that's been converted using Corrado G60 running gear/engine along with about 90% of the G60 Golf specific parts sourced from Europe. The original conversion was done pretty well by Stealth Racing some years ago but since then it's had another engine which appears to have been thrown in so I've had to take it all apart and put it back together properly as well as source the correct parts where their missing. It was a car I picked up last year because the price was right and I love MK2's as their what I started driving in.

S2 engine's are very strong, the blocks are tough as old boots as are the cranks, the stock forged pistons are good for well over 500 BHP, once above the 400BHP/600NM mark most people opt to fit H beam connecting rods. The ABY six speed box's aren't a weak point at all, you'll snap rear drive shafts before they give up, the five speeds in 3B's aren't anywhere near as tough.

                        Stock turbo is a K24 7000

RS2 spec, is the exhaust manifold, turbo and injectors from an RS2 along with suitable software and a 3 bar MAP sensor installed into the ECU, to go the whole hog an RS2 inter-cooler, down pipe and air box are also required. Also a good idea to fit an uprated fuel pump.

                          Hi Maek,

You might remember your pm'd me last week about if i would sell my S2.You know what my reply was Pardon i don't own one. Anyway, Great news you found one,so very pleased for you on that front. On the other front where people have taken the piss out of you because they could they are nothing but low life scum! I tend to believe what you sow you will reap so all those scumbags who have taken the piss be it big or small they will get their comeuppance. That Means bad will happen to them, their usually so cocky they let the guard down and that's when the grim reaper bites. If you live and drive fast many never make old age. Kit knows his stuff so he would be a great source of good advice. All the best for the future Mate!

                          Cheers Mark.

Neal that's a terrible tragedy with your g60 such great cars. I have a g60 now and still holding onto it can't bear to sell it. Hope you get it back together as painful as it might be financially you will be stoked when it's done. Although it looked in pretty good nick when purchased but I guess it's only when you start to take things apart you realise that they need work.
