But 3b is lighter and quicker

And so the battle begins ha ha.

Little point in comparing the two. Both are great machines. Buy either variant in fine fettle and you will not be disappointed.

Sometimes I do not understand even people from this forum who owns the S2s... How can somebody say 5k is too much or not?

Lets put it that way. Whats been done with the car?
Clutch change, Pas change, Alternator, Service, Abs sorted out, Usual service to car recently etc. If you do these things in garage that cost 100ds and 1000nds of pounds!

Next thing How it looks. All trims and buttons, button under lights, seats, roof or door panels, stopping leaks, etc. Takes hours to sort it all out or 100ds again to ask to somone else to do it. Who is working under 10 pounds an hour in this forum? Aiiii? There are no garages will sit on ebay and wait for second hand part for your interior. Lets add this time to work as well... Make the Math!

And from my experience when I tried to sell my S2about mounth ago, somone bought not realy working S2 green coupe with white painted wheels witch looked like been taken out from a skip and the car it self didnt work properly for 3.7k from ebay? Why the hell somone is giving well runing black s2 coupe away under 5k I really dont know, but to sort out that green peace of **** will cost more than 1.3k for sure.

My point is, the car it self doesnt cost anything if to compare what it costs to keep it in a good condition!

hi Neal, the car is rare, well sorted is reliable and kind of bullet proof. many parts are the same as from audi 80 (more like glass, lights, interior etc). Parts you need to change often are easy to buy and costs ruffly the same as for any other car... Quattro ads a little bit extra parts and worries. I'd love to know garages working with our cars as well in UK.

Surely nobody ever expects to recoup the cost of servicing back when it comes to selling? Average Joe spends £1000's keeping any car up to scratch, but spending £5k on repairs doesn't add £5k to the value of a car, until it's considerably older.

As I just mentioned in another thread, as long as you can build one for cheaper (and you can, a lot cheaper), they're over priced.

It seems they've hit the bottom and are on the way back up now though, it's the S3's turn now, but I doubt you'd protest that they're too cheap?

Yeah, take it back to Danny

There are not many(any) pro's who specialise in these, but plenty of people who know them very well and will be able to help. Depends what you want doing. There are plenty of forum members who will help you out. It would help if you added your location to your profile
