I'm sorely tempted to replace my B6 A4, however I've just spent a bit of money on it which I would never see.

      Great cars.

It looks like she has sold. I'm taking a meticulously cared for 03 a6 2.5tdi all road as part chop so after a valet I'll be selling that. I know some people like the c5 A6 and its a quattro so someone will love it..

A4 gone and the a6 is on the drive. I'll be fitting a new alternator as the old one is on the way out, a new outer cv boot as one is weeping and a service then I'll be polishing my heart out. It's a nice car I'd like to have a go off road in it...that gives me an idea

            A6 C5 All Road Quattro

Pics after a quick bath. Although not the best i think it shows how straight the panels are, there is barely a stone chip on her. I already have the front end in the service position ready for a new alternator.. Im quite excited a mini project. on stilts

I've compiled a list of things to do on the a6
              Alternator___ already fitted
Replace auxillery belt tensioner and rollers for good measure. Replace serpentine and ac belt at same time.
              Full service
Front rear rear pads as they are 60 percent worn.
The service history is good and receipts show the cambelt/timing belt and water pump etc was done March 13 less than 20k ago. I'm looking forward to getting the oily bits done so I can get all ocd and get cleaning..

How is the air suspension on it? I hear they can be a little temperamental. Cracking car though.

A couple of months a go I did a new compressor and relay and also replaced the front height sensor with genuine items and a cost.
Vcds shows no faults and it goes up and down perfectly. Many people replace it with Bilstein kits but as this all works then there's no need.

Similar to what I've heard. If your handy with a spanner then replacing parts of the suspension isn't too costly. I would certainly keep the OEM suspension, it's what sets the Allroad apart.

                    Sounds like a lovely vehicle!

There's a,lovely vehicle lurking for sure.
It's a 180bhp AKE engine with auto box.
I have ran it through vcds and the only codes stored were spurious ones for alarm triggers. I see that on just about every Vag car so all is well..

Been busy on this one and she is up and running again. I had to replace the pivot bushes for auxillery belt tensioner as they were worn causing the belt to run off line.. Not a fun job let me tell you.
Fully serviced and valeted inside. Just need to polish her up.
