The white one is well over as well, it's a lot of car for the money for sure but the fact it's been for sale for weeks suggests I'm right...
Up to £2.5k is what they're worth (based on watching every URS4 and 6 that's gone through eBay over the last 3 years, sad I know but that's how I stumbled across my white 80q )
Sure, they're a lot of car for the money, but people looking for a fast car aren't going for 90's family barges as their first port of call, only worth what people are willing to pay!
I agree though, the price of S2's has gone mental in the last couple of years, it's cheaper to build your own, which is pretty backwards...
For the money left over you can make your 90's family barges into 90's family rockets but I see your point
I must say I've seen some for sale and you can see where the price is coming from, but when you see a standard S2 with 130+k on the clock going for £6k I just can't see where that price is coming from.

When you can pick up an S3 now for sub £2k, or a B5 S4 for under £3k it's going to have to be some seriously cheap s4/6 to have enough change to make it comparable in the power to weight department!
But there again you're still better off with a URS4/6 than an S2 with a 6k budget, I know where my money would be going out of those 2 choices.
Not sure why the value of S2's is climbing so fast with B5 S4's now being so affordable. All a bit weird. Same thing happened to MK2 Golfs though, the price went mental a couple of years ago but it's settled down a bit now (now all the scene boys have realised they can't shift their ultra stanced twatwagons for top dollar and have to start being a bit more realistic )
The white one was for sale at Am cars 2 years ago at £4995 and sold to this fella who is now selling it. A very low mileage Ragusa green saloon was sold for reportedly £5,500 which to me was a steal, (he was asking £6,500). The days of a half decent one ie clean car no rust but all original selling for £1500 are now gone i am afraid. They are still very cheap though for what they offer. As more of the S6 cars get properly restored ie new Oem or oem + suspensions/wheels refurbed by top notch powder coating and bodies tidied up they will be priced accordingly.Uk 96-97 Plus specks will always be more desirable and worth more.

I could only understand that S6 plus being worth £10k if either a) they'd gone into the future and could guarantee that the next £3k-£4k worth of repairs/maintenance would not be needed or b) it was soon to be a genuine classic. When I mean classic I mean the only thing since the quattro that could be regarded as such is the RS2 - because of how it was made, where it had come from, the fact that it was the first RS and it's exclusivity. Unfortunately I think the S6 plus, while a beautiful example, is just the same as the other C4 S models and the S2 - even to a lot of car people we have to explain to what it is - and really 'cult classic' better describes it.
Also, if you want a barge they have this 1992 V8 as well!

A genuine S6 Plus is in fact in there with the Sport quattro and RS2, produced in small numbers and in effect the first big RS car (only 97 S6 Plus saloons produced)
There are 96 & 97model year UrS6 2.2L 20vt cars with UrS6 plus spec. i.e Black chrome on the exterior windows and front bonnet grille, and also around the dials in the instrument binnacle.
A real UrS6 plus spec car has all of the above, but was fitted with a 4.2 V8, instead of the AAN I5t. Only made in LHD, more's the pity. And about 900 UrS6 V8 cars approximately were made.
People should be aware of the difference rather than confuse the two / confuse others.
