1992 Audi S2 Coupe spares or repairs

    Lazer red 3b
    113'664 miles
    10 previous owners
    Category D
    No service history
    M.O.T. June 2016

I bought the car in June 2013 and it has been a rolling project ever since. I am now at the point where I just want something I can jump in, drive and enjoy.
I have not had the chance with the s2 as it has just been problem after problem.

When I bought it it had some issues, mainly the bodywork. This has now been addressed and although not perfect is heck of a lot better than in was.
Front and back bumpers have been colour coded.
Bonnet grille and front bumper grilles have been painted gloss black (do also have rs2 style satin black bonnet grille and standard black plastic bumper grilles which will be included in the sale).
    De-wipered boot
Brand new windscreen fitted March last year (old one was badly chipped)
    New bottom rubber mouldings fitted

Engine wise it has run brilliantly up until it was last in the paint shop. It has now developed a misfire on boost. Is still driveable but you can't fully floor it.
Engine is standard apart from a mtm 260bhp chip set.
An after-market induction kit (two original airboxes included)
Stainless de-cat exhaust (could do with replacing)

    All the brakes are standard.
Suspension upgraded to KW variant 1 coilovers
Wheels are 18" A8 sport alloy wheels (could do with a refurb)
Tyres are Pirelli P Zero Nero 225/40/18 which are like new having only covered around 600 miles.
    New rear subframe bushes

    Transmission is all standard.
Has had new middle CV prop-shaft joint
    Replacement low mileage rear diff
    New diff mounts

Interior is standard black leather which is OK condition, usual wear to drivers side seat bolster. Spare set of front and rear door cards to be included in sale.
Has an after-market head unit fitted with 6 disc CD changer mounted on the shelf under steering wheel.
Was like this when I bought the car and isn't to my taste but never got round to changing it.

Now with it being spares or repairs it does obviously still have some issues and will try describe them as best as I can so as not to mislead anyone and you know exactly what your taking on.

On full boost it shudders violently. When it was down the body shop the front bumper was removed and can only assume that a boost pipe has been knocked.
It ran 100% spot on before it went down there (though the sprayer swears it wasn't)

Since the coilovers were fitted I have never been able to get the four wheel alignment done.
This is due I believe to the car having an ABY hub on the N/S/F instead of a 3b one. From what I can make out is this in some way prevents the car from being properly set up. As I have never got a straight answer from anyone I have taken it to though I wouldn't like to assume what it is.

The third big issue is some kind of slack in the transmission. You only feel it on and off the throttle at low speeds and when pulling away.
I tried at the start to get this fixed and so replaced rear diff mounts, rear subframe bushes, rear diff with a low mileage one and also replaced the middle CV propshaft joint. The problem certainly isn't as bad as it was but is still very much there.

Other issues on the list are as follows:
    - Speedo not working
    - Rev counter not working
    - LCD display not working
    - Passenger electric mirror not working
    - Air-con has been removed (not by me)
    - Indicators not cancelling
    - Steering wheel needs centralising
    - Battery not holding charge
    - Drivers side window switches wrong way round
    - Exhaust knocking
    - Gearbox mounts need replacing (new ones included)
    - Could do with a service
    - Rattling in tailgate
    - Rattling in passenger door
    - Bonnet release takes some fiddling to open bonnet
    - Brakes are pretty poor
    - Tailgate could do with flattening in places
    - Rear Audi badge isn't straight or in correct place
    - Rear s2 badge not fitted (do have one which will be included)
    - Various screws missing throughout or wrong ones fitted

With the car being a category D and having no service history it will never really make good money so would suggest it being better to purchase for parts.

I don't really know what it's worth but to comply with forum rules will say

    £2995

    Cheers, Dave.

Thanks Gav mate appreciate the offer but couldn't ask that of ya.
I'm just done with it now and no longer want a project. Just want something I can use, clean and enjoy.
