  • 1996 S2 Coupe

The time has come for me to move on (to something else powerful ) which means it's time to put my S2 up for sale.

I've owned her since 2010 and has been garaged ever since. I've had a lot of fun with this car including a faultess drive down to the alps!

You can take a look through my re-build thread here - http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthr...=project+%2796

It's had a major over-haul with no expense spared. All the parts that break have been replaced, the rest of it lovingly restored! Engine is standard apart from a remap (~275bhp) and samco hoses. It's got a re-positioned oil cooler all fitted with aero-quip fittings.

    Suspension
    • All parts powder coated
    • Koni adjustable shocks
    • Mehle HD bushes
    • New bolts etc
    • Whileline Rear ARB
    • RS2 Front ARB

    Brakes
    • Brembo 996 Calipers on the front - new seals all round. 330mm rotors
    • Rear calipers fully restored
    • EARLS stainless braided flexi lines
    • New hardlines on the rear

    Engine
    • Remote 10 row oil cooler
    • Samco Boost and Water hoses
    • New bosch overrun water pump
    • New Bosch alternator (May 2015)
    • Replacement exhaust cam and tappets
    • Replacement fuel lines from to rear
    • braided fuel lines in the engine bay
    • Up-graded engine mounts
    • New engine seals (crank etc)
    • Custom 3" Exhaust - sports CAT with single silencer. Sounds amazing!!
    • one of my intake inscription plates

    Driveline
    • New CV joints and boots
    • New Wheel bearings
    • Oils and seals replaced on GBox and Diff

The underside has been cleaned and painted

    The list goes on really....

    Shes onaround 164000miles (TBC...)

To finish the project the paint needs a bit of a tidy up, wings etc are free of rust (tiny bubble above the windscreen about 2p in size) and a rattle on the interior fixed.

I've spent a considerable amount on the car and in absolutely no rush to sell her.

    I'm looking for £7500.

You'll find it hard to find another like this

Are you sure £6000 is the correct price? As I think this is an absolute bloody bargain of the year? One of the nicest examples thats been up for sale in a long time you should have queues of people lining up for this. GLWS

After sleeping on it I've adjusted the price. I went and reminded myself how much money and times been out into the car!
I'd rather keep it if I can't get the money, car means a lot to me!

£6K was way too little for such a nice example, £7.5 still seems on the cheap side, to be honest I can't see it hanging around for long at that price...you'd really struggle to replace it!

I'm going for something with 2 seats and a big v8 for the next ride!

I could probably afford to keep this garaged and in two minds about it so unless someone comes with the cash I will keep it. Just a shame to see it sat there not being used!

                  Stunning looking S2..

If you have room to keep it, and can buy what's tickling your fancy right now without having to sell, then it's a no brainer.. It will only go up in value.

I can't tell exactly, but in build thread I noticed the front wings were a bit dull, yet above picture they look ok. Can you clarify on that.

I gave them a good machine polish after I resprayed them. Front right wing is a replacement. I'd say they still need doi professionally along with the rear quarters.

I'll get better pictures over the weekend

Sorry for bringing up price Will I think I have triggered a few comments lol!! It's just a stunning looking Coupe and as mentioned they are only heading in one direction on value I wouldn't even consider 10k for mine so worth keeping and go and treat yourself to what ever you fancy!!!

We're criminal for over valuating our S2s based on how much we've spent on them, but anyway..... seems pointless lumping 1.5k on the price if there's a quote 1 post below saying you'd take £6k for it. Anyone looking to buy their first S2 will stumble upon this great forum, so I'd maybe request to have a couple of posts deleted (including this one, lol).
