Papers are 1998 and every part on it is made after 2000. Every part possibly leading to the car's VIN has been changed (even the NAVI).
My guess is that it is an RS4 registered on papers of an S4 that has been broken (not suggesting a way it has been acquired). But that includes the bit where the VIN magically changes and the unknown roots of the car itself.

Lol at the £1500 and £3000 prices you know that it's worth more even in bits. You can't buy the body kit here in the uk for less than 3k complete!
