Hey Janis
We'll show him how boring the ABC/AAH V6 blocks are. AAH is actually reduced in cc's to make the wonderful B5 RS4.

The RS4 B5 owes and borrows it's heritage from the V6 program started back in 1984. The ABC block is actually an AAH block and bore that owes it's life because of the need for a V6 short engine to go into the 100 and 80 by the early 90's.Audi started designing the V6 back in 1984 because they realised they needed one for their luxury cars so was born the V6 being short and turbine smooth to beffit an executive car. The block only measures 12" front to back and is made from a special thin walled cast iron block that only weighs 3kg more than if it were made of aluminium!
The ABC/AAH V6's rotating parts were tested on Audi test beds up to 9,000 rpm,yes 9,000 rpm is possible as the design allows and proved. The 2.6 is just a shorter stroke version of the 2.8. Which is why the 2.6 feels such an awesome unit for super fast spool up i.e. revving ability being an over square engine with the same bore of the 2.8 at 82.5mm but a stroke of 81mm making this engine a superb over square engine. There's a good deal of potential if one wants to port and flow match the heads and port the throttle bodies with a chip. Some of these facts and figures are taken straight out of The AUDI Magazine of summer 91.

Even better, literally half the engine for the same power.
All internal combustion engines owe their life to Nikolaus Otto's first creation, you're defending a crap engine with it's vastly superior succesor?Hey Janis

Blimey is this debate still going on
You cannot compare an S2 to a V6 ! Lol ! Some of you guys on here are power mad (I mean this in a nice way though).
The coupe looks good and probably goes well, its designed as a cross country cruiser and is very smooth in the power delivery not to mention a timeless body design
Its going to be a classic (especially with the dwindling numbers left out there) end of !
Its never going to be as good as an S2 who cares ?
It's a 1/3 of the price of an S2 with the same heritage so yes in my opinion its (probably) worth it what he sold it for
For what this cost me so far I could have bought an S2
