It's a fair point though. As with any ebay listing if we share them on forums then it's good for anyone who hasn't seen the listing but not for the person who has already found it and doesn't really want anyone else bidding on it.

At least if its put up on here and the price goes up it makes it less desirable to the usual traders that buy them for parts and an enthusiast might get it instead

What's the difference between a trader breaking it and an enthusiast breaking it? Either way someone's profiting, and the cheaper it sells for the cheaper the parts might be for people who need them.

At the end of the day if someone posts a link to a car it either does someone on the forum a favour or it does someone else on the forum a disservice. If I have helped someone I know buy a car to fix or break for profit then that's good. If I've accidentally brought the car to the attention of others who may bid on it then it's unfortunate but not my intention.
I'm an enthusiast and was formerly also a breaker. Yes, if I could have bought a car for £100 and ended up paying more because it was posted on a forum then I'd have been mildly annoyed (and it happened at times). But at times I also discovered cars I hadn't noticed myself. I won some, I lost some. It still happens at times with parts I'm after. I'm watching something on ebay and I see it posted by a well meaning forum member (usually on a different audi forum I use) and maybe the price goes up as a result. Or maybe someone else just found it on ebay and bid against me. It's a public auction. it happens.
What i'm trying to say is if someone's trying to be helpful by sharing an interesting find with fellow forum members I don't see it as a major issue.
